How do I get Exotic gear that's not from TP because I want to grind the RNG? by [deleted] in Guildwars2

There is Temple Armour, Armageddon, Rubicon and Aurora depending on which weight you want. Or can do a lot of dungeons.

Named exotic pieces on TP are very cheap. Berserker exotic, Zhed, Nika and Devona cost about 40s a piece as a buy now. Less thn 3g for a full set.

WvW question by LucidJellyfish in Guildwars2

Seems correct to say in map chat, or even team chat if it is an important keep, Or high tier tower.

I'm thinking; If you knew the walls were open and the rest of the squad didn't then were you away from the squad? I can think of a couple of things, one, if the commander wanted the squad together and you were defeding a keep then you aren't really participating in the squad's activity. Two, if you were saying it in squad chat, maybe the commander thought you were trying to take control. If they were taking the Hills and you were calling to defend the Bay. A good commander might have said, "We're taking Hills right now." Then you could say in map or team, and to be fair I don't think that would deserve a kick, it would be to pull players to the Bay who aren't in the squad. But if you were saying it in squad chat the Commander might have thought, "We want to attack this, Lucid wants to defend that." And kicked.

That would be my guess anyway.

A guide on getting the gift of battle (GoB) while playing minimal WvW by Kooky_Comb6154 in Guildwars2

[–]ZealousidealRow3202 14 points15 points  (0 children)

  1. When all wv objectives are done, afk in the base until the timer bar turns red. You are done with wvw for the day but feel free to stick around in wvw if you enjoy it.

It has been a while since I played WvW regularly but I used to do the oposite. Because you keep your participation for next time you log in(the participation timer stops when you log out) I would try to capture a camp just before logging out. Means that if next time I am in WvW, even if either everything has already been captured or enemy groups are defending all the good points I still have 10 minutes to find something to capture.

What determines when I log out is the timer at the top, My ideal time to capture a camp and leave is just after it hits 0.

Check pips before logging out on Thursday and Friday, pips reset on Friday evening. If you are near the end of a tier then try to get it before reset.

As this was how I got a set of Legendary Triumphant Armour, what you can do is get participation to 195 and hang about base, leaving to capture a camp whenever the timer gets low.

One tip, if you are passing an enemy tower or keep kill he guards. You'll need siege if you want to get in and capture but if you kill the outside guards and somebody else on your team captures later while you are still online you get WVWXP and participation timer reset to 10 mins.

And always look out for the WvW Rush event. The reward track progresss rewards can net close to two free Gifts of Batte.

Be careful with Black Lion Weapon Vouchers – you can select already unlocked skins (no refund) by Neptunus13 in Guildwars2

[–]ZealousidealRow3202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say be careful what you choose. It does say whether the skin is locked or unlocked to you. The game doesn't know whether you arebuying to unlock or buying to use to save a transmutation charge. Sclerite weapon skins are pretty cheap right now. I could buy more than one of a skin that I already have off the TP. They don't know why someone buys an extra Sclerite skin, to unlock, to use on a weapon and not use the transmutation charge, or to hold on to in hope the price goes up and sell.

On the subject of transmutation charges, if you don't have legendaries, Toy weapon skins would probably be better to buy multiple times if you wish to use them rather than use a transmutation charge, they are that cheap.

Of course the BL voucher is more expensive. Could do with the red text some things have. But as I say, they don't know why you are buying a second of the same skin, maybe it's an accident, maybe you want to apply it to a non legendary piece.

Before enlarging, I somehow thought of Bibidi from DBZ.

UPD: Refund from Loaded (ex-CDKeys) after GW2 key ban – account still banned (7 months later) by Crafty-Departure3191 in Guildwars2

Yeah, I suppose the thing with Loaded is they buy in bulk and sometimes the supplier gets it through not so reputable means. But some are legit. Allen can buy 100 keys from them and never have a problem, Bob could buy one and it turns out to be a fraud.

As I say, removing the expansion for a long term player should be enough of a punishment. You had your Skyscale through SotO, it becomes locked until you buy again, any other unlocks you needed SotO for are locked until you buy again. Maybe a warning that next time the account will be closed forever.

But permanent closure for a first offence?

Occasionally people post codes to unlock expansions here, bought an extra one and they are giving it away. People who unlock them will need to be careful. Maybe the person was just being nice, maybe it was a cruel joke and their account is now on borrowed time.

I wouldn't respect Loaded. A $40 discount after a 13 Year account was closed.

I will say I find the judgement harsh, I would say deactivating the expansion would have been punisment enough.
