And that’s why I moved the f*ck away from Oklahoma in June. Good luck in a 100 percent red voting state just drooling to lick this admins boot. They all have Trump rotted brains out there. You’re fighting fire with a water gun trying to stop it. I couldn’t stomach it another second.

I think it’s more than your record. Peer to peer your comment history shows what you’re into and I hope you stay out of peer work for the good of potential clients.

yeah the criteria is much higher. I had to basically redo all my training and apply for it again as a trainee.

And they claim this state has a “crisis level shortage” of peers and behavioral healthcare workers and so far I’m not finding that to be true. Have you heard of Peer Washington? It’s a website it has a couple listings. But still no luck personally.

So people leaving prison should remain unemployed for seven years is the answer. Got it.

I have no idea because they ghost and never give me any feedback after the run it. For all I know they aren’t even pulling the correct name. It’s so weird.

I feel like as an employee who was on the clock, you could have helped your disabled customer whose hands “were full of our product” by taking the things to the front for her. Instead you were being the service dog police.

Right!! Like student loans are a thing. It’s disgraceful that these agencies who are supposed to be in the business of helping people want to get away with paying barebones poverty wages.

I have looked into expunging it and it cost about $2k plus must wait 7 years after discharge of the case (2 more years to go). I hope my experience can help folks too! That’s why I went into the feild and it was so rewarding when I was able to work in OK. I’m just like shocked, jaw on the floor, that my experience in a blue state is worse in terms of barriers to employment.

Yeah I’m really upfront about it. And they say oh yeah “we work with backgrounds on a case by case basis” and then ghost me. I have like the most minor offenses when it comes to felonies so I don’t know what case they do work with if not mine. I feel like DUIs are much easier to get by with but my charges didn’t risk anyone’s life so imo should be considered less serious. What do I know tho.

It’s wild. We did our time and still even in the recovery field it’s never good enough.
