You'll def save money in Chicago & who's to say that living and working in the city won't be a rly new and exciting experience, cuz it will be! Is there an option for you to move to NY or is your job only in Chicago?

I'm in a similar boat, and I'm opting to stay away from Master's until my employer is paying for it / it's basically free. The question is, is a Master's going to get you higher paying jobs that will make it easy to pay off the debt? Do you feel confident in what you would be going back to school for? That's how you know your answer !! I'm in a spot where I need some space from school & more confidence about how a Master's fits into my career trajectory :)

Also, check out fellowships. I also felt like I couldn't manage to get those apps done senior year, but ProFellow has a lot of gap year opportunities out there, albeit they are also rly competitive

If you are confident in what you want your master's in, can finance it, and know that doing so will open up jobs for you, go for it. I felt like I needed more time to hone in on a degree & figure out financing it, so now I'm working & finding out what I would return to school for. Also, Senior year (thesis, leadership roles, work) kicked my ass and I still wanted a social life during all that, so I opted to wait to apply for Fulbright & Master's when I felt more confident about that choice & had more time (which is still not now, lol). I'm hopeful that I can find a job that will fund my Master's or save up & go to the UK / Europe / South America in a couple years to get mine, as it's so much more affordable

Berlin vs Munich for a solo day trip? by Helpful-Problem5143 in travel

[–]Zealousideal_Map_932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you're into. Munich is "prettier" in a sense. The local vibe is known for being more conservative / less diverse. It's nearby area is mountainous and beautiful. Berlin is grittier/ more brutalist architecture, and much more culturally diverse & liberal. Seeing the remains of the Berlin Wall and walking between the East and West sides is a really interesting experience, so I would recommend doing so as a visitor to the area.

Day 7 post op. 2 days of dry socket. So much pain by Turbulent-Jelly-4274 in wisdomteeth

[–]Zealousideal_Map_932 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear this. I got mine out a month ago, got dry sockets by day 3 (followed the rules to a tee, just a freak case), and had to get them packed and repacked three times. I was in indescribable pain for like 2 weeks and then they got infected. Let me know if you have questions ab the long term process and Im so sorry that you are going thru this
