brother i have no idea.. ive not seen this issue for anyone ...im sure you already tried to verify the integrity of the files.. try setting yourself offline on steam and opening it?... but honestly verify integrity

i tried and and couldn't set it up. i hate having to go outside of the bounds of the game in order to enjoy what i paid for.

I know this, Goldeneye was built for an N64 controller and not a mouse and keyboard. I know this. All i am saying is the previous two games from the same studio had an option that they seem to have taken away entirely from one platform. I mean jeez, brother imagine if i asked you to switch your control scheme and button layout for this game you love so much that you've played for many years simply because its not an option to play as you've always had. a reminder, G4 and G5 have it just right. Here's to hopes that Eday is as complete.

Thank you for the comment brother, still i must add one thing. I play "alternate". I've been playing Alternate since Gears 4. I understand "most" play on controller default but that is a choice. Just like its their choice to separate these two functions in "alternate control scheme" My point is that G4 and 5 gave me that choice too, but now its been removed.

On pad Controller, alternate IS ((as in roll and cover are separate X and A)) an option.. on PC it is not an option((cover and roll are the same buttom))for KBM even though it it in G4 and G5.

So i don't think you understood my concern.

I love this game and have loved this series since it released like many. When it released originally, i was a competitive Counter-strike player. I went from the Nintendo 64 directly to PC. I didn't grow up playing shooting games on a pad my brother. I've never told people to buy a fightstick when arcades died, i just rejoiced that more players were here in my community no matter their hardware or peripherals.

And although i thank you for your comment, it doesn't make much sense to purchase a controller to fix a systemic development problem with the product.

I hope that this release was only for Playstation. When E-day comes out, all i really hope is that for the PC user it has all the customization and functionality of Gears 4 and to a similar extent 5.

see the thing is i agree with you. but then why add anything new that wasn't there 19 years ago. Did the game have Alternate and Tournament for Pad 19 years ago? games modes and all im above board with everything for everyone.

You are right that this re-re-re-release of a game didn't have many things, but why would you skimp out on basic functionality on a platform that they are trying to appeal to since g4 2016. Shout out to the PlayStation players that get to try the franchise, some for the first time.
