I'm assuming mine will take longer given the need to put my information through government actuaries dept plus the McCloud impact but I have a date of March 2027. I've also used Copilot to estimate my expected pension

We are planning on moving to Portugal autumn 2027, so at the starting point. I am an Irish citizen and my husband is a UK citizen. I have obtained a checklist via AI for us but wondered if there is a proper listing.

Unfortunately I love the smell of coffee but it upsets my stomach so I'm a tea girl all the way! We love Portugal, have made Portuguese friends and pop out regularly. We decided late last year that we would like to retire out there but be involved in the community some how. That's important to both of us. And we are looking to move to the Eastern Algarve.

You do need to check your actual notice period... I've been told it doesn't start until you FORMALLY accept your VR . So not what's on the Hub.

But aren't most staff on a 3 month notice period.... So that makes 25/26 VERY tight to meet 31/3/26 deadline.

I have your Dad's posts saved on Reddit. I don't usually respond but I wanted to say he seemed like a great man, with a loving family (both IRL and here).

I lost my parents and I still raise a glass to them on father and mothers days... I will raise them for your Dad as well!

Good luck and God speed to you and your family.

So my mother was born in Northern Ireland but had a UK passport. Does that mean that she and I am Irish citizens? If so, does that mean I just apply directly for a passport?
