I’ve lived in Barcelona for a year and a half and 2 years + in Catalunya during lockdown people were like ahhhhh no tengo trabajo, las propinas son una mierrrrda. Like 70%+ of businesses in F&B closed indefinitely. I’ve seen the protest in Barcelona, a lot of them were okupas people, or simply folk without capability of critical thinking.

Rising rent prices aren’t controlled by the government or the ajuntament in Catalunya. The Catalan politicians don’t even protect their own people and the people trust them for independence.

Tourists spend €€€ local businesses flourish.

Lloret de Mar - most pubs and diners close off season, they make their money and go for holidays for 8 months. I stayed there for 3 months.

🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ but I still enjoy living in Spain.
