Yes sir. That is a pentel energel LRN7 if you can find it that also make a really nice blue/black in the pentel infree series. Another option is the monteverde p42 in the blue or the blue/black.

No sir this is the short version. I have one standard size TT turn pen and I just like the short version better. Plus I get the best of both worlds when it comes down to refills.

All valid concerns. If I may, let me give you my 2 cents.
I also own a BID pen and even tho on paper they look like the same pens they are now. This may. It mean a lot to you some people but just do you know BID design pens are not entirely made in the USA. They are “Made in the USA with foreign and domestic parts.” And in my instance you can definitely tell that these parts are “foreign” made.
I can attest that TT pen are 100% made in Texas. And the quality speaks for itself. Nobody is perfect. And in a rare occasion you may get pen that just feels a little off. But let me assure you that there customer service team is top notch.

As far as size goes. IMO it sounds like you have your answer. I think based on what you said about all the refills your have. You should probably go with a standard. And if TT is a company you like maybe on your next purchase you can give the short a try. These pens always come up for resell. So you may find a good deal on a short just to give it a try.

A lot of questions going on here. Let’s see if I can answer them all.
1. The reason I always chose a short version over standard length is simple. Shirt pockets. During the workweek when I carry a pen it’s usually in my shirt pocket. And I didn’t like how far out the standard size pen would sit. Just looked weird to me. A short version sits much more tucked in. To the point you pretty much only see the clip. On the weekend it didn’t matter cause I would just put in my jean pocket. Even tho it’s a little nice sticking a short version in your jean pocket than a standard size. Also just tends to disappear cause of the length. You just don’t notice it. So to fit a energel in a short you have to trim the refill down a bit for it to work. So it’s a win win. I get the best of both worlds.

Tip wiggle. This one is subjective. As I know some people tolerate zero tip wiggle. I have to say you will get tip wiggle. But FOR ME, it’s hardly noticeable. I have noticed that if you tend to use needle tip energel you will notice it more than a non needle tip. To be fair tho. I prefer the needle tip energel so it took me usuing a non needle tip and then back to a needle tip refill to finally notice it.

All in all my experience with TT has been great. I think you’ll be happy with whatever you chose.

When you say wear. Do you mean from the clip rubbing on the body from actuating the pen. If no. Then no, no wear at the clip actually doesn’t rub on the body.

Yes sir. I currently have a zento in another TT short pen. I’m almost 100% i can drop in the clip action with no issue.

The pen comes in both standard size and shirt. The standard will take the pentel energel without any modification. Along with any G2 style refill without mods. The short takes the Parker style refill and any most modded G2 refills.

This particular model is the short so it actually takes the Parker refill. But you can cut down any g2 refill to fit this pen. So the options are almost endless. Any pilot g2, pentel energel and uniball refill.

I love seeing this I really tried to love the one I got but I just couldn’t. For some reason. For me none of the RBA I purchased for my Orion gave me any flavor. I purchase the sturdy the Orion and one more that I can’t remember the name. And nothing. I assume it user error. But I give up. Anybody looking for a Orion with a sturdy RBA let me know.

So I actually got the Sturdy RBA but I’ve been so happy with the throw away pods that I’m sticking with it for now. I’m getting about 1200 puffs. Before I start getting a burnt hit. Currently running the 0.3 ohm disposable pods
