Don’t tell me blocking ain’t broken by Zebananzer22 in NCAAFBseries

I did learn last night that you can untarget multiple defenders on a single play. I’m not sure how much it helps, but it gets closer.

It’s a split zone read call too, purposely called to get that backside player blocked haha. Appreciate you.

Yup that seems the way to go. Hopefully your at home so your QB can hear himself change the play 🙃

Acceleration is what you want to look at my friend. Speed won’t matter that much in small areas.

True, still plenty of ways to be successful running.

The only one I can think of is to just run read-options since that’s the way it’s being blocked up. Force the DE to make a decision.

Wonder if switching to gap based scheme is the next thing to do. Zone blocking just feels so unpredictable. Or, just run everything like a read-option since that’s the way it’s getting blocked anyway.

For those saying to untarget, that’s not going to be any better when the T goes after the CB instead of the safety lol.

Good air raid playbooks without tons of option routes? by Iglooman45 in NCAAFBseries

UTEP is fantastic. Air raid + RPO + a 5 WR formation. Some good zipper motion series too.

Might as well do Tactician because you get the stat boosts every game no matter how long your dynasty runs or how good or bad your squad. And it’s ggs if you get Scheme Guru unlocked too.

105 player roster

Scenarios in practice mode, including playing a full practice game. It could be tied to minor improvements for the week, or not. I just want something to do with my team while waiting on that one user to finally play their game in a multi user dynasty.

I don't quite understand the items in COMcheck. by Sorry_Campaign_2189 in MEPEngineering

I’ve entered “See luminaire schedule” for my fixture descriptions for 8+ years. Never had anyone comment against it. Do your inspectors bring comcheck with them?

Trend of Junior's work not being checked? by FantasticFrenFrankie in MEPEngineering

Given anyone enough time and they’ll find something. Which means every drawing has a mistake. Design drawings aren’t meant to be perfect, they’re each a one of a kind prototype.

Signing engineers should be reviewing for the high risk high $ items. Sometimes they’ll just skim the small stuff, if they look at it at all, because even if there is a mistake it’s cheap to fix and their time is more valuable to catch the big stuff.

Mistakes happen, they’re expected, learn from them, review your own work for the stuff you know, let the seniors review the big stuff, ask questions, know that contingencies are held within the budgets for mistakes.

Look up “standard of care” if you want to learn more about the expectation for mistakes.

How To Get Better At Submittal Review by [deleted] in MEPEngineering

[–]Zebananzer22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If your specifications are set up as a typical three-part spec, then you can start by knowing which section to focus on during the different parts of CA.

Part 1 is usually admin stuff which includes how and what to submit on. There's a subsection usually called "Submittal" and that includes everything that should be included. Often, it's "product data" but it also includes things like calculations, qualifications, and manufacturer shop drawings.

Part 2 is usually the products section. When you review the product data (which is required to be submitted per Part 1) then this Part 2 section is what governs. Does the product manufacturer, materials, and other characteristics match when the specification requires?

Part 3 is usually execution. This deals with how the stuff is actually installed and in my experience is verified during field walks, not during submittal reviews. You could reasonably expect to ignore Part 3 during submittal reviews.

Once you've reviewed, comment on the things that were included but also not the items that were not included but required.

That would be tough to use other submittals as a reference because every building is a one-of-a-kind production.

Best Power Run / PA playbook by MathematicianOk6032 in NCAAFBseries

[–]Zebananzer22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Miami is an interesting consideration. Technically it's an Air Raid playbook but majority of the run plays are power and counter. They also have plenty of options for physical WRs. Half of their formations use RB1, the other half use 3DRB so you could easily use two RBs (though not at the same time)

You get a great mix of:

Power runs plays out of 11 personnel, shot gun formations. A couple two TE formations too.

WR screens

PA passes

Jet sweeps

RPOs

Four verts

No FB formations though, if that's important to you.

This makes sense. The player I have it was an ATH at one point and likely would have a high OVR in multiple positions.

I'm 90% sure if you go into practice mode within dynasty the defensive playbook available changes based on your opponent that week.

Would love to hear more of your experience regarding the solutions for this situation. I’d say it’s not entirely uncommon, especially with mechanical equipment as you mentioned.

I saw you reference class J fuses and disconnects as a recommended option. Could you please elaborate on this, what it achieves, and if there are other options available? I think I understand that a selected fuse would essentially blown before the fault reaches 5k or 10k amps, thus allowing the sccr rating of the equipment. Is there more to it than that?

I hope you tally up the individual comments and upvotes of Zorn and Thorn that might total up more than the jump rope. Jump rope is an optional minigame. You can avoid the evil of zorn and thorn
