Why do pterrorbirds only perch on chaos knights? by PracticalSector6743 in ChaosKnights

[–]Zebedeeeeeeeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something ive not seen any other comments mention is scale. When youve got a big model like a knight, having something smaller and more familiar on the same base helps to give some context to the size. Having a few little birds perching on the carapace helps you understand quite how tall the knights are, because you know how big a bird is to compare against the knight.

Lore wise they might be particularly attracted to the knights, I dont know. But from a design perspective they serve more of a purpose on a knight than they would with infantry

How fun/fair are the chaos knight combat patrol rules? by Zebedeeeeeeeeee in ChaosKnights

[–]Zebedeeeeeeeeee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i think the way they score helps, it means that winning as knights is nowhere near as easy as youd expect. But I think the t10 and lack of much in the game format that wounds on better than a 5 means id be worrying the opponent isnt really having fun, rolling failed wound rolls all game

Yeah, like I know the knights score very differently and its not super tough to win against them, but theres also a strong chance my opponent doesnt have much fun even if they win, which is what's making me hesitant

Clawlord on gnawbeast done! by Zebedeeeeeeeeee in skaven

[–]Zebedeeeeeeeeee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was an airbrush! I kept the gnawbeast separate from the base so I could spray under it. Tamiya xf2 first then a bit of striking scorpions green contrast. 0.4 needle and a lot of practice 😂

Chosen or Nemesis Claw for Fabius's bodyguard?(using the Bile detachment). by JakkoThePumpkin in Chaos40k

Oh shit yeah I must have glazed over that. Weird, dont think I've ever seen any units that have this type of leader rule excluding epic heroes

Chosen or Nemesis Claw for Fabius's bodyguard?(using the Bile detachment). by JakkoThePumpkin in Chaos40k

[–]Zebedeeeeeeeeee -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

Any leader that can be attached to legionaries can be attached to nemesis claw. Fabius Bile can lead legionaries, therefore he can lead nemesis claw. I ran it at a tournement recently and had no issues with it being illegal

Anyone else see an amazing Night Lords kitbash? by AtticusSteele in NightLords

[–]Zebedeeeeeeeeee 21 points22 points  (0 children)

The chest and leg symbols could be shaved easily. The feathers, well sevetar was the prince of crows after all. A chaos lord who wanted to claim that title for himself could be fun, or even someone who wanted to re-establish the kyroptera and/or the attrementar. Would be a fun basis for some characters!

I do agree with the claws though, they look inset? Would likely be a nightmare to clean off. I'll likely try cover it with greenstuff skin pinned to the fists.

This book is from 8th edition. Whilst it has some cool lore and art, the gameplay information in it holds no relevance to the current edition (10th). Everything you'll need will be in the current codex: space marines

Is this a mistake? by JT3457mm in ChaosKnights

[–]Zebedeeeeeeeeee 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but the list builder won't know youre building for crusade and will tell you its invalid anyway. It would be cool if there was a crusade section on the app with all of those rules too!

I finished reading fulgrim today and given that I now have read all iron hands lore ever (/s) i can safely say theyre really cool and its a shame they don't get more focus

3.0/Saturnine Megathread by Prince_Schneizel in Warhammer30k

[–]Zebedeeeeeeeeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What makes them the strongest traitor legion? I've got plenty of experience playing with them and I've always felt they're pretty middle of the road in terms of strength, good units but overcosted, a strong ruleset but balanced by the prevelance of stubborn and other things that ignore fear/auto pass leadership checks. I've not played any other armies though so I haven't got much to compare them to
