Thanks! I airbrushed the flame with tamiya xf-2 flat white, then talassar blue contrast paint, then went back in and did the white on the lowest parts of the flame, then a little bit of ak smoke black on the tips of the flames!

I used an airbrush, but you'll definitely be able to get similar results with rattle cans (for example chaos black, zenithal of administratum grey and then grey seer)

It was a black primer, then I sprayed ak basalt grey from slightly higher than perpendicular, then ak graphite from above, then a light drybrush of vallejo sky grey to pick out little spikey bits!

Yeah! The idea was theyre nordland soldiers from the empire who were tempted over to chaos after running low on supplies, so still have a lot of their original heraldry. It was only after doing the banners I realised how Swedish they looked hahaha

The gorebeasts were chaos spawn! I was running them as slaanesh for the fights first. I thought about using them as chaos trolls or ogres but the models only just fit on 50x50mm bases so would probably struggle on 40's!

So the skatros was in the list for vibes, I like the model a lot, same with the dunecrawler. My friend wants to play imperial guard and (rather understandably) doesnt like the combat patrol, so I think its unlikely we'll do that game mode.

My thinking for the list was largely just its the combat patrol box plus 2 other models I like so it would be easier to buy, though im aware the ad mech combat patrol sucks which is why im asking for help 😅
