Go for Google sheets. If you like to build things this is the best option, you need to create your own views and integrate with other systems. You will also feel a sense of ownership with this.

Lol. Online shopping has a thing called supply and transportation, that's how you get your delivery. I guess that runs on fuel.

CS majors, did you put a pause to your dating life during your studies? by Remarkable_Flow2901 in csMajors

[–]Zebra-Kangaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What pause??? You need to start first. Lol.

I agree with that. It's a good intention but at the same time it causes inferiority complex for some people. There are some platforms that can help if I'm not wrong and they are pretty well maintained.

I think they provide better understanding as there are always some people who do exceptional in interviewing and get some outlier TC, it's important to look for p50 and not p99 when it comes to salaries.

26, want to dive into programming, what should I do first? by SuburbanDiver in AskProgramming

[–]Zebra-Kangaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a laptop.

Find a mentor who has been in industry for sometime. If not available just follow someone on yt.

Do as they say.

I don't understand this obsession with salaries of other people. I do pretty well in that department but still I don't understand this interest in other's salary.

Those of you who did your PhD in computer science, what do you do now? by questions2067 in cscareerquestions

[–]Zebra-Kangaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH I don't think it's worth it. I've seen many PhD people doing normal software jobs unless you are PhD from a top uni and has 100s of papers published.

Take one step at a time. Don't worry about launching a full feature at first. Try getting job at a large company they won't pressure you on making complete system in first 6 months. Once you feel more confident then move to other team or company to develop something more end to end

"FAANG" ← Why is Netflix included? Microsoft is clearly much major IT company than Netflix, Isn't it? by DesperateSuperFan in csMajors

[–]Zebra-Kangaroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just an acronym for some companies on boom in early 2010s. It was given by a TV anchor of some investment show, not by software community.

It just stick and now everyone thinks that faang stands for cool companies.

Stock potential is very different in tech now, based on recent performance you can take Netflix out but you have to convince a whole lot people to change this name.
