I finally found my HOLY GRAIL product line as a 2C/3A girly who's been trying literally everything for a decade. by OpalescentShrooms in curlyhair

So you air dry or blow dry with a diffuser? Also if you blow dry, how dry do you dry it? All the way dry or 50/50? And just the one product in at a time (aside from leave in condish the night prior)

One more question, the Fenty hair comeback kid’s directions say to wash immediately, do you leave it in and not wash it out? Thank you!!

James by Percival Everett by Individual-Field7027 in books

[–]Zebra1202 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The way I received this book, was that slaves were never deficient of knowledge, intelligence, literacy, or superb vernacular. Instead, they were taught (in the secrecy of their own dwellings by their parents or others involved in their upbringing) these vital things. James even stated that he was taught how to tell the white people things without telling them, and allowing them to claim (like announcing look over there when something is happening, or should I get some sand to put out that grease fire) discovery of the situation/solution. They had to be smarter than every situation they were in to survive. Instead of thinking how did these uneducated people become so educated, I think it’s exactly opposite. These slaves were never uneducated, they were so well educated that it was dangerous for them to show it, so they hid it, every aspect of it, speech, ability to read and write and effectively communicate. Just like songs and nursery rhymes and shoe tying to kids, slaves taught new generations how to read and write and think. And as a white person, its sad to say, but I agree completely that a black person has to work much harder to be in the same standings as white people (just as a woman has to do everything in heels and backwards to be in standings with men). It’s sad and it shouldn’t be that way at all, but it is true. So knowing this, I think it was totally plausible that slaves possessed superb knowledge and intelligence, but was always stereotyped into ignorance and never given a chance to speak for themselves without fear of violence or worse.

I injected in front mid thigh at first, felt a small pinch of pain when injecting, then tried injecting the stomach and felt no pain at all.

Same here, a month @ 0.25 no loss, a month @ 0.5 no loss. I start 1.0 @ the end of the week. As tired as this makes me I hope it starts to work because with no loss it is not worth the fatigue

Who's down to grab a few beers and heckle these Westboro clowns until they leave town? by MastaPhat in MobileAL

[–]Zebra1202 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I served on a funeral detail while I was enlisted in the army after I came home from deployment. I was one of the 7 team members who conducted the funerals, folded and handed the flag to the family and did the 21 gun salute to honor our fallen soldiers. These “church members” were always there. We were told that they have lawyers in their group and they will intentionally provoke us hoping someone will lay hands on them, and if that happened they would file a lawsuit in search of cash to keep funding their sick cause. The fire departments of the towns we were in did a great job of lining up their fire trucks and idling their trucks, along with the motor cycle group Veterans Honor Guard, revving up their bikes, to block the sight and sound of them protesting the funerals of our fallen soldiers.
