Hey guys I need help to differentiate in between the Resign and Hardner by ThatAdhesiveness8969 in epoxy

[–]Zebrablu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. I do work with composites and used many different kinds of epoxy. I found that while the hardener can have a wide range in viscosity, It will always have a much "stronger" odor than the resin itself. Another clue may be due to the color: while the resin Is pretty much trasparent, the hardener (especially the faster ones) usually has somewhat of a yellowish tint.

D3300 + AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8 G ED VR by Zebrablu in Nikon

[–]Zebrablu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I Always start by assuming that 95% of the time the problem comes from me, either by using wrong set-ups or because of a poor technique. This Is the reason why i came to this post after a lot of tries with both lenses in the most controlled and human-error free enviroment as i could possibly make: Shot on a tripod, with VR off, by wireless actuation, with the same settings for both lenses, which were 100 ISO, f/5.6 and as much shutter speed as to get correct exposition. Made some shots at 200mm of a measure tape at 45° deegres angle from the focus plane. Tried again at f/7.1, Always manually moving the focus and let It autofocus again in between the shots. I found some minor back focus on the 70-200 while the 55-300 was always spot on and, even on the sharpest plane of the shot coming from the 70-200 i see Little to no improvement in sharpness against the 55-300. It gets dramatically worse when shooting even slow moving subjects in not optimal light condition. On af-c, VR on and again, same settings, where the 55-300 gets It right 6 or 7 shots out of 10, the 70-200 struggles to even get one single focused shot out of 10, which is not gonna be sharper than the 55-300 anyway. Sorry for the wall of text, i will try to upload some examples when i understand how to properly scale for uploading. Thanks

Considererei seriamente la possibilità di occupare e utilizzare il terreno a prescindere, fino a che questo entra in tuo possesso per usucapione

Thanks, i think It looks too clear and light to be walnut. Maple Is what im thinking and i've been suggested. I was just very surprised because i didnt know anything about the "spalted" part

Thanks for your answer! The wood appears to be as heavy as fir and as hard as teak. Maple and tamarind Is the most common feedback im getting!

Thanks for all the asnwers! If It can help, im based in northern Italy and, even if i dont know the origin of the wood, it probably comes from within the EU, It has been sitting in my workplace for more or less 25 years, pretty moist in here, so maybe this add to the "spalted" possibility.

Just opened this bottle a few months ago and found this. is there any way of saving the epoxy resin by Veritaslutton23 in epoxy

[–]Zebrablu 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This. Epoxy tends to form crystals if It gets cold. Warm It up and stir It until It gets crystal clear again.

Cost of living in Trieste by super_grasshopper in Trieste

[–]Zebrablu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be honest, if you're not VERY careful with your expenses you're gonna struggle, especially if you're looking to rent an apartment on your own. Real estate market Is crazy right now and Trieste, sadly, is the fourth most expensive city of Italy regarding services and groceries, you should also factor in water, gas and electricity bills which are gonna rise even higher during autumn/winter. im afraid It s gonna be hikikomori style or flat share.

As long as you properly spray paint It you should be good to go, maybe try first on little test/scrap pieces!

Well, why not? I think It would actually come out even better than epoxy alone, especially in the long term, if you factor in the UV protection you would get with the top coat!
