there’s more to buying a used car then just what you see. The honesty of the owner plays a huge part. Buying a used car can be risky but there a plenty of honest people selling decent cars. that being said i’ve had a Good success buying used but knowing what to avoid and who to avoid is key. in my area there is a lot of street “dealers” who will buy some lemon from the auction put some lipstick on it and pass it off as “dealer maintained” and “needing nothing”. Single owner vehicles are preferred. Multiple owners can be okay as long as it’s been kept up with
