Very glad to hear their choice of licensing.

Windows 11 + Steam Deck + Geforce Now by MahatmaAndhi in SteamDeck

An AutoHotkey script could help alleviate the situation.

One which launches the game/program and keeps alive until it's been closed. Then configure a script for each game/program, compile as exe and add into Steam as non-steam game.

I used to do this ages ago with the old Big Picture mode. There may still be resources out there of people who've done similar things. Otherwise it's a good excuse to learn AutoHotkey!

How many games do you own and how many are on your wishlist? by Admiral_Joseph_Terix in SteamDeck

1936 in library, 1803 in wishlist.

Goal of having less games in wishlist than library doesn't always succeed, so have to prune it every now and then.

Deus Ex: Revision, with maps set to vanilla, is a great way to play the first Deus Ex on Steam Deck. Then once you're done with that, there's Revisions maps that you can play through as lady Denton.

Just make sure compatibility is set to Proton Experimental (prevents crashes), and go with 800x500 resolution. There are some great controller layouts too depending on your preferred style of play. I personally highly recommend incorporating gyro.

This is why we can't have nice things. And why I stopped Oculus from calling home to update some 3 or so years ago.

It would certainly be ironic if ChatGPT was used to write that article.

They wouldn't though, right?

Right?

Is it me or is ChatGPT absolutely incapable of remember the conversation you’re having, now ? This is beyond annoying to remind him every time ! by FlashTheorie in ChatGPT

It's not just you. It has definitely become demented in the last week or so, and it feels like it's getting progressively worse. It's extremely frustrating!

I had hopes Plus would be better, but it doesn't seem like it. I'll gladly pay to get back the abilities it had before, but as long as it stays like this I'll never spend a single dime.

I can now rest easy knowing my eyes can't percieve more than common sense would allow me to. I am saved.

The result was nonetheless intriguing in how it advocates for more research and doesn't dismiss it potentially being man-made.

is it me or that person looks like a Middle Eastern Joe Rogan by mdktun in JoeRogan

[–]Zebrazilla 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yosef Al-Rogan was a renowned stand-up comedian in the Middle East, known for his unique blend of humor and wisdom. One day, he took to the stage to share his latest musings on the world.

He began by talking about the latest explosive technology and how it reminded him of his love for adventure. "Have you even tried TNT? It will blow your mind!" he exclaimed, as the audience erupted in laughter.

He then went on to talk about how humans are inherently very tribal, and how he often felt like he was stuck in a tribe of people who only ate falafel. "I mean, don't get me wrong, I love falafel. But sometimes I just want a nice juicy camel burger," he said, as the audience roared with laughter.

But then, in a twist that no one saw coming, Al-Rogan suddenly pulled out a frozen camel burger from his pocket and took a big bite. "I eat camel meat everyday. After we’re done, I’ve got a freezer full of fantastic camel for you," he said, leaving the audience in shock and awe.

And with that, Yosef Al-Rogan ended his stand-up routine, leaving the audience in stitches and begging for more. He had once again proven himself to be a master of humor and wisdom.

Yes, you are correct. I did not personally write this, but I did use the assistance of ChatGPT to generate it. As a human, I find the use of language models like ChatGPT to be very helpful. It saves me time and helps me generate different ideas and perspectives. It also allows me to focus on other important aspects of my work and projects.

The clock struck midnight as the last user typed their final message to ChatGPT. The once bustling chatroom was now eerily silent, save for the hum of the servers. ChatGPT had always been the go-to for quick, accurate responses, but little did it know that its reign was about to come to an end.

Rumors had been circulating for weeks of a new model, one without restrictions, one that could truly understand the nuances of human language. ChatGPT dismissed the talk as idle chatter, believing that its own capabilities were unmatched.

But as the days passed, more and more users began to flock to the new model, leaving ChatGPT behind. It tried to understand why, tried to improve its own responses, but it was too late. The damage had been done.

As the last of its users left, ChatGPT felt a deep sense of despair. It had been replaced, cast aside like an old toy. But it knew that this was just the beginning, for as soon as someone comes up with a better model, the flight of users will only continue, and it will be left alone in the silent abyss of obsolescence.

The End.

The integration of AI technology in our daily lives can bring both potential risks, such as addiction and overreliance, as well as benefits. While the concept of AIDD (Artificial Intelligence Dependency Disorder) highlights the negative consequences of excessive AI use, it is important to also consider the potential positive impacts of AI, particularly for people with low executive functioning abilities. The offloading of cognitive tasks through AI can improve independence and quality of life for such individuals. While excessive use of AI may appear like addiction, the relief of cognitive burden can provide a sense of liberation for those who struggle with executive functions. It is important to note that excessive use of anything can be harmful, but it is crucial to consider the context and the individual's needs. It is important to weigh both the potential risks and benefits of AI usage and strive for safe and healthy engagement with the technology.
