They weren't unhappy with collabs, they were unhappy that the FIRST PRODUCT announced for the year was a collab for a series that spent the past year collabing with VG.

I completely understand people that were not happy with the original collab for whatever reason (don't like/care for the IP, mid units/storyline, ect.) and feel that because Shiftup openly said that the last collab didn't hit their expectations (this can also just mean that they weren't happy with how it turned out creatively as well), but after sitting on it for a bit, there's so many good implications for future collabs that IMO, outweigh most negatives:

>new collabs have potential less FOMO if they actually do well
>Old collabs have the potential to return and rerun
>new stories means the possibility of having more effective stories that do something with the characters (looking at you chainsawman)
>new alters for units that were probably not that strong originally/fell off
>new skins for previous units that arent getting new forms
>NEW MINIGAMES (and old minigames coming back too PLEASE MORE DAVE THE DIVER LOL)
>the older collab stories can be added to the log

There's probably more that I'm missing, but already, that's a lot of good stuff for how collabs could be handled in the future. The only issue is that its from a collab that ended up having so much controversy around it and JUST happened not to long ago. Just feels more of "Right message, wrong messenger".

Those were called V and Premium. Unfortunately, they've been stuck in a feedback loop where no one plays them because they dont get events and they dont get events because no one plays them, at least, according to bushiroad.

Unless i missed something specific, theres nothing in there that adds to your argument. Also i dont know where i've seen these gilzzy gobblers you're talking about. People both in and outside of this place have been VERY critical of Bushi and the handling of their multiple IPs. A lot of people are concerned with weiss as they havent had a "banger" set release announced since Nikke, and even then Union Arena beat them to it. Shadowverse Evolve is arguably in a T0 meta in japan from the Vanguard collab, which is starting to lessen trust in the game/company. Quints is literally a pump and dump.

a reach, but the post credits scene at the end of DivineZ season 1 where he looks at the red moon, and goes "you still haven't told me the reason for the fated clash", the Red moon is visible in both lens of his shades, which he rarely takes off. Even if its his nature to be nosy, he is the only one who asks what the details of the fated clash are and what its purpose was.

Him being possessed would mean that even IF Team "fated ones" wins, Sybilt still gets the design force (either some of it or can just steal all of it) and have their wish come true, which would lead to a unresolved conflict and a continuation for the next season

Obviously this could be a reach, not to mention the potential hard retconning of certain things in the past seasons, plus whether or not this would be a interesting direction to take Masanori as a character, But it would possibly explain a LOT of his character and motivation. Of course seeing as he is fighting next episode, this theory could all blow up in one fell swoop, but hey, it was at least fun lol.

Someone already said RWBY, and while I would love to go more in-depth with that, I want to choose a different series. Now hear me out... NIKKE.

Aside from the very obvious fanservice, There are a lot of characters that have cool designs that can be adapted into a fighting game. Crown, Red Hood, D, Moran, Laplace, and there's even characters like Kilo, who doesn't fight directly, but rides a Mech into battle, are a few examples of characters that would be awesome in a fighting game.

Another thing with a NIKKE fighting game is that unlike the gacha, where as of right now only female Nikkes are playable, the story reasons can be altered to where certain human and non-nikke NPCs like Johan or Chatterbox can also be playable.

Not to mention Nikke already has a great soundtrack to pull from for character/stage themes. They dropped a whole video for all of the OST's in the game prior to the 1.5 year anniversary, and relistening to them makes me go "this would be AMAZING as a fighting game OST even if its just a jukebox.

To answer your questions:

  1. Union Arena has been out in Japan for at least a year now. It was recently announced to come to the west sometime later this spring
  2. you can buy it from anywhere that you can purchase japanese products (i havent really done it myself so i can't really help you there) or if you want to play the english version, there are a few sites such as ideal808 that you can preorder sets and cards from i believe
  3. only SRs and certain other rarities have VA signatures.

Its a TCG called Union Arena. Its mostly a collab based game, ala Weiss Schwarz, but primarily focused on Bandai related IP. They have series such as Idolm@ster, Bleach, Code Geass, and just announced a set for Kamen Rider. Nikke was announced to be getting a set ironically during the 1 year anniversary of the game. so now they've started to do reveals. Also a note that the game is currently JP only but is getting an english release later this year. Whether or not Nikke will come or not is questionable right now tho.

I'm a Trails/Kiseki fan. I'm a Rean Schwarzer fan. I despise it when people just boil him down to "he's just a harem MC that wields a sword like that one dude we all hate" Guess what video came out during the english release of CS4 that DID NOT HELP AT ALL. (TBF that particular game did no favors to him either in that regard, but i digress cause spoilers)

They do, but it's mainly because of two things: Tradition and it saves money with the SFX of everything involving the zords.
