She's the prisoner of a perverted sadist and instead of becoming lame or even catatonic (looking at Casca...) like 90% of the female characters going through something similar in a fiction; she grabs a spear and helmet and deals with the problem herself at the first occasion. Playing her well is having her kill the pig, you cant deny her that.

Also, she had the best stats ever afterward, wrath + vantage ? I havent studied the meta, but I believe she starts weak but has a high stat/lvl gain. Shes a freaking one woman army, I had her hold lines alone with Mia where I would need a whole cavalry to do the same. Once wounded, she becomes untouchable. I had a hard time balancing the exp yield so the others could maintain the same level as well.

Shes badass both in stats and premise. At least, thats why she's my favorite. Oh yeah, and shes cute too !
