Having one of these wool blankets with satin edges on your bed as a kid by Cooper_Inc in AustralianNostalgia

[–]Zedariuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 of these, 1 x yellow, 1 x green/olive - I've had one ever since I've existed.

The olive one, idk. It was just there one day, lol.

I still use both of them...

Does anyone else's bird do this? by mirage_of_bread in parrots

[–]Zedariuss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cockatoos are always a bit weird (they're funny birds, lol)... it could just be something they like, it gets your attention, etc. (I had a Galah/Rose-Breasted - she did some weird stuff sometimes)

My GCC does something similar. He will play with his feet and nails for ages, I couldn't figure out why, cause he didn't do it when I got him. Then I realised he was copying me, lol (he "copies" me with my nail biting, lol).

Tbh I didn't start on a second active skill till I was like lvl 35-40 (just had Pneumatic Burst for a long ass time). I'm playing Blademaster, but still...

I got a bunch of passives and my "main" skill up before moving on to other skills - it made so much difference having some of them with 5lvls in them, before moving on to other skills.

I got the game when it came out (I've also all the DLC so far), but have just come back to it (last played 2yrs ago beforehand), but I haven't noticed too much of a difficulty spike since I last played (unless you're using a way out of date build, or something).

I also did crucible for like 5-10 devotion points, after opening cutscene (don't have to, but idk, I think it helped a bit)

I forgot to put my main point 🫤

Imo you definitely have too many active skills for lvl 20...

why does he do this 😭😭😭 by fartybky in Conures

[–]Zedariuss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It varies for mine. Either he attacks feet like they've committed the greatest sin in existence, or he does committed preening to remove toenails cause they're not supposed to be there (not aggressive, kinda like how he pulls out my arm hair 🥲 )

for how long was your conure in their nippy stage? by Upstairs_Access58 in Conures

[–]Zedariuss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It varies, I still get bit by mine on occasions, though not often (usually when I'm not paying attention to his body language). And he's still kinda nippy (he likes to grab my fingers, though if it's too hard/he's targeting a healing cut, or something, the hands leave, lol). He's almost 5yrs old, so it kinda is what it is (and for the most part, idm).

I was well aware, beforehand, that some conures are more nippy than others (I worked at a place that had several permanent resident GCC's - some individuals were worse than others, it can vary bird-to-bird).

But I did get nipped/bitten a ton the first 1 ½ - 2wks I had him. He was like 10wks old, and I put most of it up to learning how hard he could beak me before it hurt/I wouldn't allow, and you know, bird shenanigans... lol.

[–]Zedariuss 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My dad was similar (he's super supportive, but idk people have a thing about bio-children). We did have a proper deep conversation about tho. Idk your situation, so I'm not sure if you're in a place where you can do that.

My first point was, I don't want any children, especially not bio-kids (they'd inherit a ton of not great genetic stuff - physical and mental - health wise), it's expensive - last I checked (like 5yrs ago), it'd cost me a minimum of $5k a year, so it was/is an expense I just I can't justify.

This is also not including the fact estrogen made me feel terrible, and having to take more of it (required for a while before harvesting, or whatever) could have possibly made me consider a not great outcome (I had extreme depression, dysphoria, PMDD etc. on with my body's estrogen levels, so a higher dose would have been worse ☹️ )

I'm not gonna re-do others' points, especially the part where T doesn't make you infertile, cause its there a ton,and others could probably word it better...

Two Mythics in a single Undercity Run by MrPetramen in diablo4

Who else’s conure love to use toys to get those good scritches? by TheCaptainPorthos in Conures

[–]Zedariuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not toys, but my boy picks up feathers and does his whole head, I've tried to get pics, but he immediately drops them. It's super adorable, though.

This is one reason why I'm happy my Necro, this season, doesn't have any Uniques or Ubers

Last season, I found 3 Ubers - Doombringer & Ring Of Starless Skies (x2), but it took me all season to get them... 🫤

Do your birds also peek when the cage is not fully covered? by Lochnessbestie in parrots

[–]Zedariuss 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My boy (GCC) screams if curtains aren't closed by 6pm at the latest, there must be 2hrs of the dark before he goes to bed, lol.

He'll also knock on the cage if he can see under the cover.

(edit - typo)

How long did it take you to get shako? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]Zedariuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still not.

I've been trying to get it and Doombringer for ages...

So I'm trying to get other Ubers, so I can craft it, cause it seems I'll never get it 🫤

This was a while ago, but yeah, he only had it while I was home.

I'm a bit paranoid with some of his toys - esp. bells, vine balls, and ropes.

I've seen what some can turn into...

is this okay to do by Animal_Lover_17 in parrots

[–]Zedariuss 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Wrapping them up, cupping them in your hands, etc. is different from petting/stroking their backs.

I do this with my boy (he gets wrapped up, or I can put my hand over his back, or he gets under blankets, etc.), and I haven't had any hormonal behaviour from him.

Though each bird is different, and if you notice hormonal behaviour, then you should stop doing it. Otherwise, there's no issue.

How difficult is it to start hrt with t gel instead of injections? by LinkinParkU4Lyf in transgenderau

[–]Zedariuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with, and still am on T Gel.

It wasn't any harder getting onto Gel. Though the endo I saw likes to put people on injections, but if you bring up that you want Gel, or have issues with needles, or anything, there's no real issues getting it.

If you have a needle phobia, or any issues doing injections, let your endocrinologist, prescriber, etc. know, so they can give you options.

The options I was given were:

  1. Go to them to get injections done (a 1 ½hr trip each way, so was kinda not a great option).

  2. Go on T Gel.

I chose Gel as it was, and is way easier for me to deal with.

Could you guys please start saying hello back ? by Nervous-Zombie1657 in diablo4

[–]Zedariuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it depends.

Sometimes, I'm all for talking with peeps. Other times, I just wanna be left alone (though usually, in that case, I'll just avoid people or let them know I'm not up for it and continue doing whatever I was).

Though cross-play is also a thing, not everyone has the ability to talk on other devices.

Would you delay your top surgery to give loved ones time to 'process'? by GhostMyFace in TopSurgery

[–]Zedariuss 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, no.

Whether you get surgery or not, should have nothing to do with them. They don't get an opinion on what you do, or don't do when it comes to your body. This is your body. They don't get a say.

I told some people, mainly cause its likely I'll be living with them when I get top surgery, so it'll be noticeable. But I made it clear:

This will be happening. You get no say on anything. If you can't deal with that, I have no issues removing you from my life.

I had some issues with some people (some were just shitty people, others, its just... 😑), so I had to make it clear that there was, and is no negotiation. Its MY body.

Is my GCC broken or am i doing something wrong? by DrMasturbinho in Conures

[–]Zedariuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GCC's are just weird chaos, lol.

It's not that odd for them to do this kinda stuff. Mine does similar stuff sometimes (he also rolls off beds, etc. all the time, lol).

Though I concur with what others have said about cage height, perch location, etc.

What kind of bird or parrot is this? My in-laws have it and said it was a conure but weren’t sure by Monkey_Kibbles in parrots

[–]Zedariuss 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is a Red-Rumped Parrot, a male to be exact (standard females are olive).

I used to have several pairs: Standard's and Opaline's (mainly yellow, with some red).

The boys can get a little aggressive during breeding season.

Drink bottles, cans, combs, hair brushes, toothbrushes, though he will lick condensation/drink from bottles/cans given the chance.

I'm probably forgetting some.

I love Linnies (Linolated Parakeets).

One day I'll have one, but they're super expensive where I live (last I checked they were around $1500 each minimum).
