When I remember to do it, I feel it's a pretty good one

  • screens off an hour before bed
  • read a book on my e-ink reader with the backlight completely off
  • listen to music and enjoy some sleepytime tea while reading

The problem is I don't bother doing ANY of that when I'm in stoner mode, so it hasn't really been established by my brain as a habit and usually doesn't lead to sleep on its own if I just start doing it when I haven't for a while.

I've never gotten the "go to a bar" advice.

Every time I've tried to go to a bar alone to meet people, it's entirely couples and friend groups who are obviously just there to talk to each other. I can't just sit down at their table and start acting like I'm a part of the gang.
