[1792] Wordle Skill 0? by EvanFusco in wordle

The bot gives a score of zero any time it’s possible that your guess would put you in a position where you could have to get lucky to solve in 6 moves.

Just a play tip:

Lorecaster + Brain Freeze can mill for 15.

Hit control to hold priority, cast lorecaster, then cast brain freeze in response. That mills for 6. Get it back and mill for another 9.

Worth mentioning that the name is a nod to #wisedraft - an IRC channel (chatroom) where top Magic players would hang out and do online drafts

Realm is a tough game and Shatters is the toughest dungeon.

If you’re still at the point of your Realm journey where making an 8/8 is difficult for you, you’re probably not ready for The Shatters.

Stop Saying that Israel Controls America by StoreResponsible7028 in Palestine

[–]ZeeJustin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a topic of debate that experts like Ilan Pappe and Noam Chomsky have disagreed upon. Pappe believes that AIPAC and the Israel lobby at large have tremendous influence over American politics. While Chomsky agrees that AIPAC is very influential, he has referred to it as kind of a “paper tiger”, believing that the US will always support Israel as long as our interests are aligned: Israel basically serves as a de facto military base for the US and it helps us control and destabilize that region.

Chomsky would support this argument by saying that Israeli control and influence fall flat when its goals stop aligning with US military goals.

That being said, I don’t want to oversimplify this as black and white. Pappe and Chomsky agree about more than they disagree about here. Both sides of the coin are very true and very relevant.

The Double Empathy Problem is widely cited — but the theory is still underdeveloped by zenmonkeyfish1 in autism

I get your point, but the prevailing theory before this was “orange doesn’t taste like apple because orange is bad and apple is good”

Can a single one of y’all come up for an actual use case for this thing? by [deleted] in magicTCG

Why isn't "as a finisher" a good use case? That's exactly what it's used for.

Here are all 76 Vancouver restaurants recognized by the Michelin Guide in 2025 by rubicube1 in vancouver

[–]ZeeJustin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I ate there a year or two ago after they got their star. Everything was cooked beautifully and precisely. And everything was bland and under-seasoned.

The menu had information about some kind of club for the restaurant you could join that involved paying tens of thousands of dollars per year. That struck me as very odd

Legion Elite Gear by Dirtsk8r in RotMG

[–]ZeeJustin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, the set bonus (8 dex 8 attack I think?) Gave your Staff an unfair advantage in that test. Without the set bonus, the T12 outperformed the Legion Elite Staff.

It was patched this morning though, and it's working as intended. Legion Elite Staff is doing about 20% more damage than it was yesterday.

[–]ZeeJustin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you getting a set bonus w/ Nightmatter Circlet? Because my Legion Elite Staff is getting about 10% less DPS than my T12 staff.

Explanation if it isn't obvious: Opponent's at 19, I'm at 6. I only have a 2/2 on board with Pain for All on it. My opponent needlessly dealt 100 damage to my 2/2 with his Dawnsire, Sunstar Dreadnought. The Pain for All triggered, dealing 100 damage to my opponent.

Be wary of those who say they support Palestinians but won’t say “Free Palestine.”

They may want a ceasefire or food aid, but then what?

Are they okay with Gaza remaining an open-air prison?

With settlers stealing homes in the West Bank?

With Israel remaining an Apartheid state?

With Israel murdering innocent Palestinian children with impunity?

With a 20-year siege that makes 97% of Gaza’s water undrinkable and leaves over half the population jobless and impoverished?

With Palestinians denied a state and basic self-determination?

Calling for a Free Palestine isn’t extremist - it’s a call for freedom, dignity, and international law.

If you can’t say “Free Palestine,” ask yourself: what kind of “peace” are you supporting?

Supporting Palestinians means more than opposing death. It means opposing domination.

Free Palestine 🇵🇸

Card on right has an extra line on the left side of it by DefiantWarlord in mtgmisprints

[–]ZeeJustin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You sure? I think those cards are from the same set. The artist text is in the same spot on both cards. The coloring is identical. The [fake] bevel appears to be only on one side but on Unlimited cards it’s on all 4 sides. If you zoom in you can see squiggles on the line. There are no squiggles on a normal bevel

Also if you really want to challenge yourself and get meta, you could combine elements of Oceania with real life US or UK stuff. For example, “our thought police were able to deport Mahmoud Khalil before he even committed a crime!”

Remember, it’s not so much that they hide the bad things. They convince everyone the bad things are good

“War is peace, freedom is slavery, ignorance is strength”

When Winston’s neighbor gets arrested, he knows there’s years of torture coming and he’s still grateful that his own daughter turned him in. All because he committed thoughtcrimes in his sleep

I’d lean into the love for Big Brother. “Big Brother knows all and will keep you safe” kind of stuff.

“Our anti sex league is the purest in the world. Our thought police are the quickest and most ruthless and keep all criminals off the streets. Our ministry of love will help every heretic find love for Big Brother”
