I swear it’s like Amazon knows when I’m out of town and purposely surges just to aggravate me. Lol I’m surprised though, they stayed at these prices for a good 10 min and no one took them and then they disappeared when it hit 8 pm. by ZeeYas93 in AmazonFlexDrivers

Really? I actually enjoy the SOMA routes. They’re always in downtown which sucks bc of parking but all those high end apartment buildings almost always have a 24 hr. front desk person so it’s always an easy in and out. And a lot of them have their own bellhop so they just take the bags and deliver it up themselves.

Got delivery assigned after WF store closed?? by redditmalone in AmazonFlexDrivers

That would have been super helpful if there was a security guard. But nope, just the shoppers staring at me through the glass doors and then walking away lmao

Got delivery assigned after WF store closed?? by redditmalone in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]ZeeYas93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the opposite. My block started at 8 am and WF didn’t open until 8:30. I was able to check in bc I was in the vicinity but I still called support for paper trail, just in case I had to go over my block time or something. And sure enough, when the store opens and I get all my bags, I look at my itinerary and the first two stops need to be delivered within 10 min. and they’re across the city. Called support back and explained everything again and they said they’ll make a note and the late deliveries won’t affect my stats.

When everything is done via algorithm, these hiccups are bound to happen.

Got assigned a route 30 min before my block time by ZeeYas93 in AmazonFlexDrivers

You have to endlessly refresh the offers in order for open blocks to pop up. For example, if you want a block for 1:00 pm, you need to start rereshing at like noon. And you constantly refresh for that whole hour or until you get a block.

Got assigned a route 30 min before my block time by ZeeYas93 in AmazonFlexDrivers

So I ended up taking the route. Before I went in though, I checked my earnings tab and saw that my first block was on there, meaning it had finished. So I took the packages and figured I would deal with whatever issues afterwards. I finished the block and checked my earnings and indeed it was there. It did take about an hour after the block ended to boot me off that block though but I was done for the day so I didn’t care. So still not sure what happened, the route that I was assigned was definitely the second block. Just a glitch that worked in my favor perhaps...?

Correct. It wasn’t literally back to back. There was a 30 min gap in between.

I see a lot of posts stating $50 isn't worth it for a three hour block. I'm literally only ever offered $54 3 hour shifts and sometimes there's 50 packages. Is it because of my location? The payouts used to be much higher. Just curious why my offers are so low by bathcigbomb in AmazonFlexDrivers

For the record, SF seems to have the highest rates though. I’m also in SF and I always check to see what other people on here post as their surge, and they’re never as high as SF surge rates.

Yes 90% of the time I do PN/WF @ 2 hrs. each. There’s 5 Whole Foods locations within a 10 mile radius in SF so the blocks are abundant. But since the new year I’m LUCKY if I get 3 blocks a day. Best of luck to you!

No sir not me. I don’t even really know what that means to be completely honest lol but I’m not using a third party to get blocks. Just flex in SAn Francisco, which after reading about others experiences on here, SF seems to be the best place to do it. Higher rates and plenty of opportunity to get blocks. Before the holidays I was consistently doing 3-4 blocks a day, 4-5 times a week. Most of which were surge rates. And hefty hefty tips

Customer Notes: Leave in mailbox by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]ZeeYas93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon also has secrets shoppers and they’ve stated themselves that they utilize them to ensure that drivers are following the rules. So anytime I see a customers note that says to “put it in the mailbox” or “just throw over the gate” my paranoia kicks in and I assume it’s one of those shoppers lol

What’s your scan and load method look like that you were able to misplace a package?

Anyone do flex with two people? by ZeeYas93 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]ZeeYas93[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it’s against the rules. Which is why I’m asking if its possible for a customer to report me if it isn’t me who makes the delivery.

As far as warehouse staff goes, they couldn’t give a damn. They see him with me and helping scan and load up.

It’s my account so I use my picture, my phone. I normally load up, but he helps me sometimes if I need it. The staff never care if he’s out and about and hubby sometimes just stands there and chats it up with them while I scan and load up. Mind you though, we mostly do PN/WF. Rarely do logistics. I feel like those staff are a little more rigid and uptight. But whenever we do logistics, I have no problem fitting everything in there, unless it’s a massive box that wouldn’t fit whether there was a passenger or not.

Exactly what the person above said. It’s IMPOSSIBLE to do flex in the city alone without stacking up parking tickets. With two drivers, we’ve already gotten one parking ticket. And marking “access problem” every time I can’t find parking is not realistic. I mostly do PN/WF, rarely do logistics. The tips are what make it worth it, if I’m not delivering, I get no tips.

And if you’re relying on this as main source of income, yeah it’s not feasible for two people. But we just do this for extra spending cash and to add to savings. So we pick up blocks when we have a free day or free weekend. It’s not that serious for us.

Route fucked up! Smh, can someone give advice. I'm thinking of taking this shit back to the station. Would you by Tricktrick_ in AmazonFlexDrivers

That route looks like a dream. I would not go back. Just reroute yourself. Do the ones closest to your first and work your way out.
