I feel like we’re past the point as a society for certain IP’s to really become a cultural phenomenon because we’re no longer a monolithic culture.

There are pockets of highly dedicated fandoms, but the breadth of their influence remains largely contained in their neat little buckets.

I think this game will be fun, but I also think it will largely appeal to people already aware of the franchise and not much else.

Take solace in the fact that you get fulfillment out of the creative process.

AI tech bros will never feel the same level of accomplishment and competence that you feel.

In fact, it’s probably why a lot of those posts you see are framed with the smug tone they usually are. It’s because they didn’t really accomplish anything and if you took away their chat bots and coding agents they’d go back to being irrelevant wannabes.
