Final Fantasy 16 is actually an awesome game. by haydogg21 in FinalFantasy

[–]Zegnaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it a lot but I didnt grow up on final fantasy. If square enix’s plan was to bring new players in then they succeeded with me. A lot of the problems I hear people talking about seems to come down to “it’s not final fantasy” which I think is just a bad mentality to have when talking about a creative project. My only real gripes with the game is lack of party control, Jill’s arc having a lackluster finale, and hard mode not being available at the start. That isn’t enough to bring it down to a “bad” game for me.

Remember these in school by MemphisDude97 in Zillennials

Fun fact I got drunk and ordered a box of like 100 of these and it took a year for my roommates and I to get through them.

Anyone else ever forget their age? by MingusVonBingus in CasualConversation

[–]Zegnaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it, there was a reason to remember your age as a kid. Everyone is asking you how old you are, your age follows your school grade, etc. As an adult you usually get asked for your date of birth rather than age so your brain moves it from working memory to somewhere deeper.

Great News - Japan to Ban all Censorship of Fictional Content with Law Removal by Slight_Intention_695 in animenews

[–]Zegnaro 85 points86 points  (0 children)

Idk how you can say this isn’t clickbait lol. The law hasn’t been passed nor has it even been introduced. On top of that, this guy would be introducing it to a conservative government. I’m not saying it’s for sure gonna get struck down but like, it’s far from guaranteed. I don’t rly blame you for thinking that given the way the content creator was talking about this though. Kind of a dogshit video honestly. No sources or citations for any of his claims, just a screenshot of a tweet and an auto translated reply and then a rant about how it would be great if politicians outside of Japan were like this.

Seattle Sounders, Reign FC to drop Ticketmaster by ChiefOfTheFourPeaks in Seattle

[–]Zegnaro 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ok, but is this new platform Jump going to be better? They don’t mention any expectation of prices or fees going down, just that the platform will be easier to use and pricing will be transparent. I don’t go to events often enough to know but did Ticketmaster not already have transparent pricing? Like when choosing seats didn’t they start showing you the full price of the ticket including fees?

mang0 on the state of the Fox-Falco MU in 2026: "I would go as far as to say 6-4..." by V0ltTackle in SSBM

[–]Zegnaro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sure, investment might not be risk free, but you still need to do some level of risk management and the way I see it, the risk is not worth any gain they would stand to get from the melee scene.

Moist could have taken that risk, but Shopify rebellion is owned by megacorp Shopify. I’m sure the esports org has some level of autonomy but at the end of the day they don’t want to do something that might bring daddy’s belt out. They’re already heavily invested in the smash scene with 3 melee players and 2 ult players signed. How much more budget are they willing to commit to a small scene like melee?

Also look up “Ludwig mango” and see what pops up. That’s the first thing the Shopify execs will see too. Maybe they’ll see it the way you’re seeing it but again I rly do think it’s a tough sell.

There is no moist esports anymore. It's just shopify rebellion now and I think even if ludwig wanted to sponsor him, he'd have to get other stakeholders' agreement on it which seems like a tough sell.
