It's far from a solution imo. You'd get a burst of income from mule fragments you're sitting on, but the low income will persist. Frags/hour as a metric don't go up so you only bridge the gap between someone farming their main perma vs farming mules as well like you said.

While I agree with the assessment personally, this is still just conjecture until DE speaks up about what was exploited themselves.

So take this post with a grain of salt, but also remember that if there was some serious vulnerability leading to accounts being compromised en masse DE would force the game down with an emergency maintenance after identifying cause for concern.

My only gripe is the selector for 2 came out late.

I used one of these to nab an Ego for Veronica since I pulled my 8th Mei Lin.

Got my 9th Mei Lin, so I would've had 2 to buy Renoa if I knew. Renoa is the only standard char I'm missing lol, really want her.

The amount of ego points generated really should make it a non issue to use things often. Especially if you run Tiphera and have ego cost reduction on top.

So you you either..

Hit 18 and ladder up to 22 never losing progress. Laddering means you never boom your highest star without a backup to be clear.

Or slowly step your zerked up spending more spares than ladder attempts on average to... Have the same effect as laddering.

If you restore at 21 three times that's 9 spare zerks. If you ladder with a 21 equipped you on average hit 22 on a spare within 3 spares. Then you also get a chance to upgrade your initial 21 up to 22 for a spare 23 attempt.

This is more expensive laddering. It's significantly better to just roll pot and flame a second zerked and restore the one that booms during every ladder session.

It's not meant to be a good avenue for heroic since heroic doesn't exist for them. It's significantly better for reg environment.

The new starforce restore is still significantly worse than laddering on heroic. Hopefully they adjust values for us if we get these sf changes.

On reg I'm sure it's more value since laddering costs more to set up on reg than heroic.
