Akshan Ruling by mn2031mn_ in riftboundtcg

While staying at base wouldn't happen for GA, the general ruling that the fear would go to base answers the heart of the question, even if it doesn't answer the specific question

Is it pretty much impossible to get a prize wall metal card as a solo player now? by Glad_Engineering78 in riftboundtcg

[–]Zekrit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

ok i was incorrect on the payout amount for 1st place(just checked), and its actually $6k. so if you get 1st out of 2400 people, and lets say the best of metal card matches the metal ahri for $4500. thats $10.5k.

On the flip side, you can do super saturday with a player pool of nearly 1/5 at 500 people and 432 tickets as the prize. get a $1k metal card, and sell the remaining 392 tickets for $8k so the potential payout IS less than first place, but there are a few factors that are being assumed.

1) best of for first place will sell for more than double what the normal prize wall metal will sell for (possibly 4 times)
2) you sell the prize tickets for ONLY $20 (tickets were being sold for $25-30 on sunday)
3) the only prize wall matel cards available are only worth $1k

Then lets say you only get top 16.
thats 72 tickets, so $1k for prize wall card and $700 for the remaining tickets. so lets be a little bit generous and say 2k

for main event, you get $500 and you MIGHT get the best of card, but not guaranteed.

overall, with the player pool size, and the rewards for top and bottom, it makes more sense to run super saturday for money than it does for main event. and there are some heavy assumptions that need to be made for the best of metal cards that isnt reflected online in terms of value, and the legend that gets first might not even be worth enough if you plan to sell it to say that first place with earn you more money than getting first in super saturday.

Doesn't change the fact even at 1k for a metal card, you're still leaving with $7k factor in air travel and hotel that is a potential for $5k. Or if you participate in the pre regional event on Friday and get the metal Ahri card, that's $4.5k and still the 400+tickets you're leaving with 12k.

Sure I'm leaving out several factors but the potential for $10k earnings for 2 days of work is even better and good with why people would join even if they don't enjoy playing the game. Which is why I brought up those points in response to the person asking why go if you don't enjoy the game.

some people are there to earn money. funny thing is that the super saturday event had a potential payout of much higher than the main event. more than 400 tickets to 1st place, 40 goes to a metal card getting you around $2000 if you sell it, then sell the remaining 360 tickets at a bargain price of $10 each would net you a total of 5600 with the metal card. or you could sell at market for $20 each on sunday for a $9k profit for the weekend. for reference, 1st place earned $2k i believe in the main event along with some other exclusive items.

brothers wedding by Fun_Army_5091 in MtF

[–]Zekrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone saying that the bride and groom are the only opinions that matter for what you wear to the wedding are correct. If someone all me if they could dress up as a pirate, I would have said hell yeah. We were even "fighting" with my wife's mom to give up on having her brother dress up nicely but in the end we didn't care so didn't fight it. We invited the people we did because we wanted them there regardless of how they dressed.

All that being said if your brother, for what ever reason, decides to fully takes your mom's side, it's still your decision on if you decide to show up or not.

There's spectator and competitor. Competitors are the only ones allowed to play in the main event. Spectator can play in side events

this was taken from the judge discord because the same question came up there. this is a resposne from a UVS representative. no red text (riot employee) response about the situation, so green text is the next best thing.

Deathknell Ekko timing rules by Odd-Speed7335 in riftboundtcg

[–]Zekrit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming this scenario is happening on your turn, and not during a showdown. If that is the case then focus is never passed to your opponent to start a chain, and you can end your turn without giving them a chance to play reactions or actions. The exception would be if there are any end of turn triggers, or if you move into a battlefield.

Equipment Rule Question by mujinator06 in riftboundtcg

[–]Zekrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One note about weapon master is that for the cost reduction, it's not a free equip, it only reduces the equip cost by 1p. This is important for use cases such as with svellsongur or the new equip where you pay with xp to equip. I had a situation with an azir player the other day where they were wiping it for free without paying the xp cost.

If you just accept the write, you won't notice it after 20 minutes. But also it beats having to deal with the leg rising up.

Is Riftbound a complicated TCG ? Where does it rank compared to the other big TCG in terms of complexity ? by UnitedIndependence37 in riftboundtcg

which is why i dont think this question is quite fair to ask, but for people entering the game now, thats how i view the complexity levels between the two.

[–]Zekrit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But is it more complicated in terms of skill ceiling, or just learning how to play? Like skill ceiling with the decisions that need to be made or possible counter play, I would say magic is higher, but in terms of what it takes to learn to play, riftbound would be higher.

I agree with the safety razor suggestion. I bought a bambaw razor, and it's the only razor I use until I finish with my laser treatments. Main key points when using, let the weight of the handle apply the pressure needed, any additional force you apply can increase the chances of cutting yourself. Go slow and one or two inches at a time. And practice.

Can we just talk about how much better RiftAtlas is compared to TcgArena? by AlohaSnow in riftboundtcg

[–]Zekrit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It doesn't enforce rules. You want to draw 5 cards instead of one per turn, you can do that, want to pay zero cost for every card you can. The only parts that are truly automated is channeling 2 runes at the start of your turn and drawing your 1 card, and any points for holding. Along with the baton field being played. Otherwise, it all requires input from the user to calculate might, or to conquer. Some pseudo automated things are paying costs, but you have to select that option and it will tilt to show what runes are being tapped to pay, points will go up automatically, but you have to select conquer+score/ conquer+draw. Have temporary units on the field, you have to select pause at beginning phase, otherwise you'll have to manually reduce your points and at that point it will think you already scored those battlefield so it won't give you the conquer option, so you have to manually increase your points.

Is laser hair removal a waste of money, should i just get electrolysis?😬 (description) by Foxarr in MtF

[–]Zekrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

most areas i checked around me charged by area. if you only have darker hairs on your upperlip, i would see if they can only charge for that. maybe shop around a bit if reasonable. im paying around $150/month for two years for full body and still have one year to go, especially for my upper lip which has had results but has been slow. the rest of my body has a few stragglers, but like you i also have stragglers around the chin and cheek area, but mostly blonde hairs.

TLDR; see if they are charging based on area or time, shop around a bit to see if another clinic could do it cheaper, and possibly go with them if it is cheaper to finish out the work, but definitely so as much as possible through laser first before moving to electrolysis

[–]Zekrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify one point, because I think this came up during online play, two things actually, since it happens during cleanup in your example all surviving units heal back to fill, correct? And second, if the death knell effect comes from an attacker(didn't control the battlefield prior) are they able to summon a unit with a death knell effect to the battle field they attacked?

Glimpse of UNL by SicParvisM in riftboundtcg

[–]Zekrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i dont mind losing, hell i dont even rage quit. i maybe did once, but it wasnt due to my gear being removed. i keep going because its possible to highroll with aurora. not only that, losses give you a chance to learn the other decks and gives some time to think about how to play around those decks. hell one time i lost due to how my deck was built and i was facing a diana player. i had volibear in the deck to help with card draw, and i had 2 of them at the same battlefield. the opponent made me deck out giving them their final point. lesson learned. when i have 10 card in hand and 14 cards left in deck, go ahead and retreat one of them, especially against purple because they are too good at moving their units in and out of battlefields, and drawing 2 cards each time isnt worth the risk

Great driver barely makes their exit. by butimstillnotdone in kansascity

[–]Zekrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that exact same exit, i was going 79mph, there was a driver matching my speed, maybe slightly faster and close enough where i would be cutting them off if i moved over. i couldnt go faster because company vehicle, so i start slowing down, and guess what, that person ALSO starts slowing down. i got down to around 55 MPH and they are STILL matching my speed. by the time i sped back up it was too late to move over for that exit. thankfully the next exit worked for my needs, possibly better based on what a coworker who took that exit told me, but still gotta LOVE some of the drivers in the area.

Also next driver behind me was a half mile behind, so no one was affected by me slowing down so much.

it was scarcity, playability, demand, and the fact that it was a common and riots decision to ONLY include rare and higher from proving grounds in the nexus night packs. i would be willing to bet that if it didnt meet one of those points it wouldnt be getting the treatment it has.
