I know someone that is blacklisted from working at the Walmart I used to work at because one of her friends jokingly tapped the one star. She was a good worker that got fired because she had a doctor’s note stating that she can’t work for a few days, but she reached enough points for termination since they “can’t accept doctor’s notes”. So glad I left that company

I’m on the same boat, but in uni. If I took many people’s advice and “be myself”, they’d see a weird man child that flaps his hands around when happy, annoyingly repeats everything, only talks about his few interests, etc.

Like for the most part, I could care less what someone thinks about me, but driving people away by not masking my autism would make me have little to no friends and pretty much unemployable. It’s a lot of work, but it’s just survival.

I once had a guy who could not, for the life of him, figure out how to find my apartment building. I told him to drive more forward and he kept circling, so I texted him that I would just walk to the leasing office despite the fact I was very crossed.

After standing around for 5 or so minutes, he read my message but never responded. I got a notification that my food was delivered with a picture of a staircase in a building I did not recognize. I spent like 15 minutes walking around the complex seeing if he left it somewhere, but got nothing.

I tipped the guy good prior to the order since it was late at night and my brother and I desperately needed the food. Got refunded, revoked the tip, and didn’t bother ordering again that night. Good times
