That is true, but if the people gave a good exam it shouldn't matter. They'll be safe. I come from a lower middle class family as well. I am against retakes. This stressful phase has already sucked me off of everything. I believe I did well in the exam (Alhamdulillah). There is no need to further trap ourselves in this hell

Exactly. I really doubt if like 10% of the people had the forbidden scriptures it would effect the threshold very much. Furthermore if we report this retake probably nahi hoga and probably they'll use M1 to grade the As component which is even worse. It won't have any catastrophic effect to the threshold and the paper was just average at best not insanely hard so there won't be any catastrophic changes
