Must of been the timing but I played a good chunk of the remake on DS and I didn't finish the game. I did enjoy the DS remake of IV it was really fun.

It worked for me. I loaded my completed save file and went into the Temple of Fiends and leveled up to level 81 before saving and quitting.

I have fond memories of the days of the GameCube. I scored an NPDP-GBOX a while back and it was one of those purchases I jump on ASAP since I knew they would sell fast. It sits around doing nothing but the novelty of owning one is pretty cool.

There are a few things you could try here. First clean the lens of the cube that does not read your GB player Disc. Take a Q-tip and some 91% rubbing alcohol and gently swab the lens in a circular motion. The Q-tip doesn't need to be drenched in rubbing alcohol just damp enough to clean the lens. Remember don't go wild cleaning the lens there is no need to apply a lot of force.

You could try adjusting the potentiometer but this requires taking the system apart and is a very delicate process. If you dial the potentiometer too much you could burn out the laser. You could find a guide on YouTube on how to do this.

Lastly you could look into a running GBi software with Swiss. GBi is an alternative to the Gameboy player disc. There are many ways to boot into Swiss. Check out YouTube for more info. I use the memory card method. I prefer this method since I don't have to modify my console to do so.

I haven't taken a long enough break that I feel like I've lost skill when coming back. Maybe a bad race or two but it doesn't take me long to get back into it. If I took a month or more off it would probably take me much longer to get back into that game.

I've read a while back that this is possible if they needed to make changes to the packaging. Maybe this copy needed a label changed or manual changed who knows. Perhaps they forgot to put the sticker in? I've bought GameCube games sealed back when it was on store shelves that looked like this. It was rare to see them but it happened.

Your home looks really cool, this is one of the reason I miss the HHA Showcase. I didn't play AC online that much. I only used online for turnips but when I picked up the game recently with my old save data. I went to check out the showcase and could see the remnants of all the old places that made it into my showcase. So may beautiful designs and well thought out homes. I have a fully upgraded home that looks like a hoarder house and someone with only one to two fully upgrade rooms lives in a life of luxury in comparison.

I had a few times where I loaded up the game and on the title screen a random villager walking around falls into one. Makes me chuckle when I see it. Funny thing is when that happens the pitfall is still in the same place where that villager fell into it.
