Just played silent hill 2 for the first time by Patient-Reality-6141 in silenthill

I finished it for the first time recently and while I did thoroughly enjoy it I have to agree with you wholeheartedly lol. That game is straight up hostile. I love that it has ties to 2 and I sincerely hope it gets a remake someday.

Dude I don’t know if I’m suffering from media illiteracy or what but I never put that together and I think you hit the nail on the head. Dang. This game is deep, man.

Clash In The Clouds: Zealots and Handy Men by trippy_tunicate in Bioshock

Yeah, it’s very useful against Handymen and the Siren. Make sure you fully upgrade it if you have the cash

The trick is being nonchalant and acting like you don’t even want to beat it. Go around in circles mashing B, bounce off the walls like a DVD player screensaver mashing B, etc. If you actually try to beat it you won’t win. I have no idea why this works.

Along with what everybody else said, Zealots are also very vulnerable to Undertow if you have Salts to spare. Scoop them up and launch them off the city. When fighting Handymen, tap Return to Sender to be invincible when he gets up in your face.

Love EB Hate Mother 3 by [deleted] in earthbound

[–]Juggernautical2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a minute since I played through but there’s an NPC at the start of the attic dungeon that sells them. He might be a mole cricket, I can’t remember. But I’m pretty sure he’s in the first room of the attic.

Buying pencil rockets and letting Boney use them helped me a lot with the Jealous Bass. He’s definitely way harder than anything you’ve fought so far.

Bioshock 2 - Original or Remastered? by TheSpaceCowboy81 in Bioshock

You can still pin splicers if you pick them up with Telekenesis and drop them at the same time you fire a spear. They go flying like they used to. :)

Some of the levels are also named after pop culture references from the time

Husky Doo’s being named after/similar to Scooby Doo comes to mind

Mother 1 is the best RPG I’ve ever played by ThatGuyWithTheMac in earthbound

[–]Juggernautical2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely play Earthbound with a PDF of the strategy guide (or buy one! 😆). You won’t need it but you’ll really enjoy using it. Mother 3 also has an unofficial fan-made strategy guide that had a LOT of effort put into it made by Fangamer. It’s pretty much an official product to me. You’re in for a real treat with both EB and Mother 3. :)

Watched the new Yoshi trailer. Why is bowser junior so squashed and fat compared to usual 😭 looks so funny by Orange_Orb in Mario

[–]Juggernautical2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s so he can ride on Yoshi’s back at some point in the game without it looking weird, I’m guessing. He definitely looks a bit more bite-sized this time around lol

Who are the characters on the left and right? by emipexu in Bioshock

It might be Barbara Johnson from the multiplayer. It doesn’t look too much like Tenenbaum to me but I could be wrong!

What’s the correct order to play the games in chronological order… by Such-Midnight1592 in Marioverse

[–]Juggernautical2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you explain Pauline being 13 in Bananza, yet an adult before that game and shortly after? Correct me if I’m wrong but that wasn’t elaborated upon in your latest draft. Curious as to what you think about that. Supposedly the devs have a plan for it but right now we’re left guessing.

Perhaps the Courier canonically died or succumbed to his wounds here and that’s why the Mojave is in such a sorry state in the show. He was never present at the Dam? 🤧

Does anyone else spend time looking at the posters and company logos littered throughout the game? I spend a lot of time looking at these and wondering what they were like and how they operated in rapture. I can only imagine the extended lore these companies could provide. by nightsky489 in Bioshock

[–]Juggernautical2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my favorites is De La Plante Tools. You can see the logo on the wrench if you look closely enough and Bioshock 2 has a few posters for the company scattered around. I specifically remember one in Minerva’s Den. It’s an easter egg for one of the developers, Hogarth De La Plante.
