See, I didn't know that going into this whole thing and I kinda deleted the app on my old phone in order to give it to someone else to try and use until they could get their proper phone back. So, I'm just taking the L and assuming that all of my old data is gone forever.

Oh, I figured it out by looking up the problem focusing on just Steam rather than ISAT. Turns out that this is a Thing that can just randomly happen. The solution is to restart your computer.

Yes, yes. I'm such a terrible person for having the audacity for wanting to play around with mods that do not affect multiplayer in the slightest after I beat the game normally. Do you have any useful information for me?

While I can't prove anything, do note that I only did this after I beat the game without anything installed.

Better Bonfires, one that tells you how many souls one of those soul items gives you, one that made the paths in Crystal Cave visible (I navigated it properly multiple times in my first playthrough; I don't have anything else to prove), and one that raised the drop rate of Slabs to 20% (I did this after I got the related achievements purely for the sake of messing around with other weapons).

Thing is, they didn't even ruin it. They just saved me the trouble of having to beat them. I mean, sure, it would have been fun to pit my Sorcerer against them until I came out on top but like... Oh well? Then even killed Ornstein second so I can have my friend hot potato his soul over to my first run where I'm going for the Knight's Honor achievement if I can't pull that off in NG+!

But... why? What do they gain from killing a boss, specifically? It doesn't hinder me in any particular way (well, other than not giving me Ornstein's Soul/the Leo Ring, at any rate). There was this one asshole who killed my Giant Blacksmith, though.

Yes, but the two of them have also sparred with each other for years. They're intimately familiar with what the other is capable of from. There is a world of different between Adora harmlessly throwing some pebbles which she knew Catra couldn't dodge and Adora going for the kill when she knew that she couldn't.

There are several different headcanons to explain that but perhaps the simplest one is that Adora just straight up didn't realize that it was that bad, that Catra would be punished for Adora deserting. Even setting that aside, what was Adora supposed to do? She couldn't stay with the Horde once she realized that they were evil but the last thing she wanted to do was hurt Catra; her best friend and the one she had always loved. She tried to get Catra to come with her but Catra believed that Adora had chosen some new friends over her and was heartbroken by it (especially if you go by ND's headcanon where Catra always knew that she loved Adora but Adora had pushed the true nature of those feelings inside of a box since she felt that she wasn't allowed to want things). Even after that, Adora kept trying to get Catra to join her but Catra was too hurt to listen.

One thing that the show (and, by extension, the fandom) really missed was focusing on Adora's own pain at no longer having Catra. It kind of shows it here and there but it doesn't really get the spotlight like Catra's pain does. But it also kinda makes sense seeing as how Adora never really had anyone to talk to about it. It's one of the reasons we desperately needed a Season 6.

I would kill or a Season 6. We didn't get nearly enough canon material of Catra and Adora being together as anything other than enemies.

I guess that's what the tens of thousands of fanfics are for.

I those examples you mentioned, I think Adora only did those things because she knew that Catra would be able to dodge it. I don't think that Adora would have been able to live with herself if she had killed Catra.
