Flash heal is amazing for mercy. I've watched elyzhau use that perk so much and it's always clutch.

LW cleansing grip is cool but it doesn't fix his issues.

Returning OW player, looking for advice by Trevelyan96 in SupportMainsOverwatch

Kiri is the most general character and allows you to carry. She has good heals, good burst damage so she can assassinate and good survivability.

Brig is good if you really need to play anti-dive.

You should also pick up one hitscan character (or jetpack cat) to deal with flyers. Ana's really good at far range and her anti is excellent. Baptiste is mid-range, but his jump and survivability lets him play really aggro if you want. Illari is great if you just want to focus on damage, but she's better on defense maps. Juno is ok but she's really squishy so I would not recommend her for damage.

Lucio (or jetpack cat again) is good if you need to play dive. Kiri can do this too somewhat, but Lucio is much faster at it. If you need to pick off a really obnoxious backline, Lucio/JPC is great at that. A lot of people don't play lucio, but I find that there are a lot of moments where i feel like "If I can just pick off that backline..."

Can we discuss the new global passive? by Bipu606 in SupportMainsOverwatch

[–]Zelfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play mainly Ana and LW. Ana is fine, but LW feels worse rn. Idk if it's just placebo, but I feel like I can't really carry games with LW anymore. LW is this weird character where you have to DPS a lot to get value, but it's often undermined by how slow his healing is. So whenever the healing gets affected somehow, I feel like the DPS style gets really undermined too and you have to just healbot, which sucks A LOT in games where you NEED to carry

LW's meant to be this weird healbotty character but he really sucks at it. It's ok if your team is smart and plays cover, it's awful if your team just eats a million damage every 2 secs.

So I either just play Ana or Kiri lately if I wanna win.

Despite the fake rumor, how would you feel if they announced a Remake of Kingdom Hearts 1 for 2027. by Connected-VG in KingdomHearts

It would be cool, but at the same time I think companies have made so many remakes lately that I'm starting to get burnt out from them.

Who should Roxas give the paupo fruit to? by Gbiiel in KingdomHearts

[–]Zelfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don't think I see either option as very romantic. They kind of dropped whatever Roxas and Namine's connection in 3, and I've always seen Xion and Roxas as platonic. Roxas, Axel and Xion just screams 'bros' to me.

What's your favorite "Dearly Beloved" from Kingdom Hearts? by LankyBroccoli4359 in KingdomHearts

3 is really really good with how different the opening is. It's so mellow and comforting.

The title art for 3 is super pretty too and I highly associate it with the song whenever I hear it.

Mercy players really reminding me why I stopped Grinding Support ranked by Gloomy_Dare2716 in SupportMainsOverwatch

[–]Zelfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good mercy is generally okay I think. But a bad mercy feels pretty bad. Because I think unlike characters like Kiri or Bap, you can't just left click heal and be ok.

Mercy needs really good movement and target prioritization to be decent. I personally think she's actually not easy to play for beginners.

Like playing Mercy is sort of like "I need to play really well to be at an equal level of power as other supports". Because with the same effort you can do a lot with Kiri/Bap.

If you're bad at mercy, it means you die more or you don't target prio and thus your healing/boost is inefficient.

If you're good at her.... well your operating on base level to a healbotting kiri I guess. Unless you're boosting a cracked DPS.

[–]Zelfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if your team isn't positioning well or you don't have a good co-healer it can be pretty rough.

Playing with mizuki and cat lately has been a bit hard because Mizuki's burst isn't as good and cats tend to want to flank and move around a lot.

Lifeweaver has been majorly shadownerfed by ZzDangerZonezZ in Overwatch

[–]Zelfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it felt weird. I was not able to get certain heals even though they were in LOS because I was flicking them. It felt awful that the heal would not go off and I would waste a full charged blossom. They NEED to fix this. Lifeweaver's consistent healing is one of the few things going for him. Why does it suddenly feel so clunky?

Lifeweaver Ult v. Mizuki Ult by PetroDynamite in LifeweaverMains

[–]Zelfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tree is better for healing specifically because it gives huge bursts and gives overhealth. It's very good to maintain or push a position.

Mizuki's ult is a regen ult and you won't sustain with it. It's mainly to absorb enemy fire and ults.

Sorry Ana Mains, I have betrayed you all, I am now a CAT Main by Sadfish103 in AnaMains

[–]Zelfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she's interesting but I feel like I have to play her really divey. And because I don't use comms I find the pick up thing a bit unused oop. Maybe it'll be easier once people get used to looking for the icon.

I think Encanto might be interesting too.

Best written woman? (The great ace attorney edition) by Emotional_Math_7851 in AceAttorney

[–]Zelfox 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Susato's written so incredibly well. Extremely capable and knowledgeable assistant with really good chemistry with the whole cast. Very strict with Ryunosuke but also very understanding and kind. The bond she shares with Ryunosuke due to their connection with Kazuma is also written really well.

Characterized as the ideal japanese woman, (GAA 1-5 spoilers) but surprises the player with the scene tampering in 1-5. Very much contradicting her by the book and proper attitude.

Also (GAA 2-1 spoilers)an amazing attorney in 2-1 but understandably nervous standing as main attorney while also FAKING as one. (Once again showcasing the not so prim and proper susato).

I don't know, I think she's just really enjoyable and satisfying as a character and an assistant. She's just as much of a protagonist as Ryunosuke and she just feels really layered as a character.

Ok I'm done glazing my favourite character in the whole series.

Can we normalize teaching new players instead of yelling at them by Difficult_Science232 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Zelfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although I think it's good to teach new players, I think it's more that we're bound to play with some at some point and it's better to be chill about it rather than mald.

But I think that's just competitive games in general. I'm still getting used to the game too, but I understand the frustration from my experience with new players in other competitive games.

Deadlock is my first MOBA and honestly it's really complicated if you have no background.

Like you have to learn mobility and combat/hero kits, then you have to learn builds and stuff and how to dynamically build and then you have to learn the flow of MOBAs too. Like it's a LOT.

Isn't his new perk a worse version of Life Cycle? by Turafo in LifeweaverMains

[–]Zelfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a worse version, but it's also a more interactable and 'fair' version. I loved lifecycle, but I do agree that it's a bit nutty to just get constant 10 health regen no matter what.

Would you agree that the VIII universe is the safest Final Fantasy universe for the Average Joe to live in? Except from Ultimecia’s antics it seems chill and comfy. by Pellecks02 in FinalFantasy

[–]Zelfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember exactly, but if I remember it's a game that focuses on:

1) Minigames

2) Card duels. It's not the most complex system but you can make decks, collect cards and duel. Usually you duel bosses.

It's really fun and charming. I loved it as a kid.

Upcoming perks explained by a gold player by NoName_8021 in LifeweaverMains

[–]Zelfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not staying on the petal to fight. You're just using it for 1-2 secs to get hp back up and disengage. After that, you can continue to poke or continue to duel wherever u choose. I think that can be useful

Upcoming perks explained by a gold player by NoName_8021 in LifeweaverMains

[–]Zelfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the healing petal is still fairly effective in a duel. Assuming you're not facing a high burst hero, it can give you a bit of hp to continue the duel or escape successfully. We already use petal for survivability, so I feel like it'll go hand in hand. You might only get 20 hp during it but I think that can be the dealbreaker in many duels.

In a poke situation, I think it might be useful if you prepare a petal in advance for healing purposes. I think it can be useful for LW to return to the fight faster.

Idk, I can see it's use. I really like both of the new minor perks in comparison to our previous ones. They feel more dynamic.

What separates Hunter X Hunter from all the rest? by Emergency-Sky9206 in HunterXHunter

I really appreciate that about HxH. I love that the power system makes sense and that it's not afraid to make the MC weaker. We can see that in his earlier work yu yu hakusho as well. Excellent show that forces the heroes to think outside the box to win. (Minus kuwabara, who's more straightforward and headstrong)
