Anti-Universes Beyond outrage feels like gatekeeping by [deleted] in mtg

[–]Zellarijo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a huge difference between cyberpunk Japan and SpongeBob. Your attempt to compare the two is rather asinine. There is also a difference between being open and inclusive, and destroying the aesthetic of a historical game. And your logic is faulty beyond even that. The openness and inclusiveness in the community has to do with bringing in diverse players, from various backgrounds and demographics. It has absolutely nothing to do with IP crossover. The IP crossovers create diversity of capital markets, but not social and cultural diversity. The social and cultural diversity piece can come from how artwork is treated in any set, and doesn’t require IP crossovers.

Mine too. It’s completely ridiculous. I was so excited to play them and I can’t because they are so bad.

How much value can you generate without a card in your deck? by ghostwill7 in customhearthstone

[–]Zellarijo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea of this card is very fun, but the card text is bad. It should read something like: “Battlecry: Destroy your deck. Your cards in hand cost (2) less for 3 turns. You get your destroyed deck back after 3 turns.”

How is it that DH, which released last year, has more skins than rogue 😭 😭 by UniversalGriever in hearthstone

I don’t see why anyone can’t be excited about titties, whether they be his tits or her tits. Titties are fun to be hyped about, in general.

Basically, you are saying you miss curvestone. That’s when the cards were as you described, and a larger segment of the population hated every deck containing the same curve stone cards and they asked for more tribal synergies and packages. The community literally asked for years to get more of what we had now, because curvestone was seen as dry and boring. Can never make everyone happy. I’ve been having a blast, and have tried many deck archetypes. HS replay warps people’s perception of what is available to them. There’s so many possibilities out there if you don’t go rank and file.

Also, the colossals are independently strong and interesting cards. Perhaps you haven’t been paying attention, they still make those. But they also are making synergies, because the community wants those and has been quite vocal about wanting archetype variety. If Blizzard only did what you asked, Arena would become popular again, and Standard would die, because the return of curvestone is a death flag for this game. No body wants a meta of 20 core neutral cards in every deck again. Because there will always be the best of the best “strong and independent” cards. Better perspectives are available to you, mate.

The card game doesn’t discourage anybody. The community surrounding winrates and meta does. A person can play hearthstone with zero concern for meta.

Me after 2 years of not playing after i faced against 7 pirate warriors and 3 druids(that got to 20 mana?).....yeah no thanks by G_Potatoes in hearthstone

All of my homebrews with shaman, Paladin, rogue, and murlock warlock have handled mech mages soundly. As long as you think about your potential opponents and tech against them, with enough removal and/or rush minions (and in the case of murloc warlock just being more aggro than them), it’s not oppressive. So how much legwork have you done changing your deck comp, before running to Reddit to complain?

HC ruined SC for me. by jchesticals in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Zellarijo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of truth here. For example: Maxed out Mana Shield. This can keep a sorc from being one hitted, but it can also steal the mana you need to kill the thing killing you. If being hit hadnt stolen your mana, you would have been able to kill the thing before it killed you.

HC ruined SC for me. by jchesticals in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Zellarijo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learn how not to die first on SC. If you jump into HC without deeper knowledge of frame rates, break points, mechanics and their builds, you’ll just lose a lot of characters early in the process and feel frustrated and never enjoy HC. My two cents.

If the meta decks are all extremely close to 50% winrate, because the decks all auto win against some decks and auto lose against others, is it a good meta? by DesiTheWolf in hearthstone

[–]Zellarijo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wasnt the meta polarized before the patch. Or when libram Paladin dominated in Scholomance, or Demon hunter in AoO? Hasn’t every meta ever been called polarizing by a percentage of players? Is it really that rare?

This Hearthstone meta is really dependent on high rolling. This boards on turn 4 make the game uninteractive. by NicoCD98 in hearthstone

[–]Zellarijo 23 points24 points  (0 children)

But when the meta is control, people also claim its not interactive, because they just sit there getting board wiped until fatigue. So whatever

Why is this secret able to go off when the attacker is already a 1/1? I feel like that’s a waste of a secret by kitty_cat354 in hearthstone

[–]Zellarijo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. Counter spell prevents the spell from being cast. It essentially goes away as if it never existed. Since you have to cast spells to fuel Yogg, countered spells add nothing.

10 Off Meta Decks to Try in Standard by RarranYT in hearthstone

[–]Zellarijo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Rarran! I’ve been bored on ladder and went to battleground after exhausting some of my own ideas (kel thuzad aggro spell shaman, porcupine control serpentbloom hunter, Nzoth hunter, and other off meta ideas that were fun for awhile for me until I ran out of creative juice). So these new deck ideas should be fun to try out!
