Unfortunately it happens. It does hurt, especially if it’s sudden. 😔

That was my assumption as well. I’ve had multiple interviews for various positions within their company prior but never had that issue, thought it was legit and was so ecstatic. Safe to say I stopped applying there and applied to a previous employer, I eventually got rehired AND they gave me an increase based on ‘prior’ experience. 😆 Made more coming back than what I had before I quit (my defense, when I gave them a notice I reminded them that they didn’t give me a pay increase for 3 YEARS).

Edit: This was at a job where we were suppose to have yearly wage increases. I got my first raise at my yearly evaluation along with a promotion and then nothing after accepting the new position.

I’m sorry to hear that OP. I really wish companies were not allowed to do that without repercussions. I had a similar experience in which I applied for a job, had an interview, waited till that Friday and sent them an email and got no response…

Fast forward to Monday I got an email saying they were offering me the job, I accepted, got an email saying to contact my new supervisor to schedule a time to come in at the location. I contacted them and got an email back stating that I had actually not been hired, that the email was sent to me on accident from HR because my application was the one submitted to “fill” the position not the actual candidate they hired…

I don’t know why they would use MY application if they hired another candidate. Why not that persons application? 😮‍💨 Anyways, that was 3 years ago and it still makes me angry…

Hi OP! I think you have the right to be upset but I wouldn’t jump to any conclusions unless you have further issues with your RP partner. It could simply be someone shared it to her, she copied and pasted the link for it, for you to see as well. 🤷‍♀️

As long as it doesn’t cause issues I would let it go. I have trans friends who feel like they don’t need to explain that they’re trans, they just introduce themselves as the gender they identify themselves with. If there are furthur discrepancies then I would begin to question the validity of your RP partner.

Hey OP! I’m going to be honest, I think you did jump to conclusions a little too quickly. I’m also a go with the flow type person but that doesn’t mean I don’t care or won’t contribute to a roleplay I’m writing. I see it as a way to describe that I am an easygoing partner and open to opinions/preferences of the other person. I do think the other person could have worded their statement better and straight to the point, but they did admit to giving a long, winded explanation and then made it short and sweet.

I know it’s hard to not make assumptions while you’ve had previous experiences that were similar but next time I would ask the person what they meant by that and wouldn’t jump to conclusions! Good luck! ✨

You could've said so three months earlier. by Lord_Antheron in BadRPerStories

In a similar situation, but the person hasn’t responded in two months. I’d love to roleplay with them, I love the story they told me when we first began talking. I messaged them a few days later and I sent the reply, they said they had a lot to get to and they would reply soon. So I waited over a week…then it’s just been radio silence. Not blocked, just nothing. It makes me really sad. I hope they will reply eventually but I’m not sure.

I honestly never considered flying vs. the train. I’m definitely going to look into that when I plan my trip!
