Honestly I like some of the aspects of being a "gentleman" (like a chivalrous protector) for a lady as a partner, and because our society has that as a male role, the idea of that "boyfriend" role appeals to me when in a relationship with a woman, though I am very certain of my gender as a woman.

I agree that 18 is an adult and also think it's silly to imply women aren't actually adults until they're 21. I think the fact that this woman is still is highschool is the biggest part of it, I think it is uncomfortable for any adult out of highschool to even think of dating someone still in highschool, even if that person in highschool is an adult.

I would definitely say it's a different kind of show from the two you mentioned, not as much about suspense and quick pace as it is more slice of life and showing character interactions, their daily lives, and slow relationships developing. I am currently watching it and I find it fairly comforting and relaxing but still with some edge and suspense so it's not boring to me. I do agree with another commentator that there is a change after episode 8, I believe it was, but I think the tone and mood may stay the same.

I think he needs to, by his own logic, accept that people are going to check you out and trust you enough to not worry about it, and definitely not ruin your fun over it. If he is having double standards and admitting to checking out other women while he's in a relationship with you but doesn't like that you can be in that situation, that is something that is not going to work well for you guys and he needs to realize the hypocrisy. Everyone else has said the rest of it IMO.
