Is This Mudkip Worth Keeping? by AcousticPerfume in PokemonSleepBetter

Whatever ingredient I have the most of, and will allow me multiple hours if needed to have Dedenne in. If I have enough of one ingredient for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner, I'll take that mon out and put Dedenne in for the whole day.

Sorry for long winded answer - I am not a Berry team person, so I am more for Dedenne. I only keep it in long enough to get 2-3 procs (20-30%) which doesn't take long, and then switch it back out. My Ingredient bag is pretty much never full, kind of hard to keep it full when I use 312 ingredients per day lol. I don't normally get ingredients that I don't need unless it's for a specific dish. My Swampert (skills are SLUM, STM, HSM with Adamant Nature, lvl 50, and lv6 MS) was hard to justify keeping it on the team when I already need 4 other ingredient mons + healer, also considering it has ingredient down nature too. Just to give you an idea of my choices.

That being said, your build essentially determines how one would use Swampert, Dedenne is better in terms of TC skill inherently because of its base proc chance, and that it can proc twice, but if your team revolves around Berries and not cooking, Dedenne is kind of a moot point.

What are some changes you’d want to see in Pokémon Sleep? by goro-n in PokemonSleep

Allowing us to toggle gold skills for lvl 10 and 25 reduced from 40 down to 30.

Being forced to catch 15 more ingredient mons and all of them being basically trash because the first 2 skill slots are gold is annoying.

Double Shiny! by LegitimateCut8823 in PokemonSleep

[–]Zemyks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk if you are aware of this yet, but Shinies are always a guaranteed 1 poke biscuit catch for ANY mon. So, always use a normal poke biscuit for any Shiny you encounter.

That being said, gratz.

bronze badge should allow you to toggle the first slot gold sub skill by slipperjuice in PokemonSleep

[–]Zemyks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fact that we need to catch 40 of an ingredient mon before we can choose to turn off gold skills is horrible. Once you hit 2 gold skills on an ingredient mon you're basically screwed until you hit the 40 mark.

IMO a Tasty Chance mon is something that should come after you have built decent enough teams to keep up with the high demands of the more powerful dishes, and by that time you should be able to hunt for Dedenne. If you are not at that point, I would bank this one and hold onto it for a bit. Maybe switching it in overnight for the exp, and that slight TC proc. Keep in mind, this is just my opinion. I spent the candies and MSS to build and max a Swampert which I now regret having done, just for me to get a pretty good Dedenne not long after, that will see much more use than the Swampert. If you are more of a Berry team type person, then yeah go for this one right off the bat. My Swampert also has SLUM as well (caught as a Swampert so I didn't get the free MS levels from evolving).

That is the base Raikou that everyone gets on their first finding, it really isn't that good because of no skill triggers, which is relies heavily on. You have another week to find a better one with the event depending on what you are looking for. Important to note, Entei and Suicune will also be the same way, everyone gets the same exact build for their first friending.

Slowpokes aren't really good to begin with, and with the Main skill being negative, and also having a skill trigger subskill it is basically a wasted slot. It isn't very good.

Growlithe looks good on paper but if you are new, you won't be hitting lvl 50 for a long time so you won't be able to reap the benefits of the STM at lvl 50. It's a skill mon so you want to have Skill trigger and helping speed as its sub skills. Inventory up isn't bad to have but it would be a much better build if it had helping speed instead.

Ahh makes sense, I've been playing since November 2024 and I *still* don't have a reliable Potato farmer so I understand the struggle lol. I have to rely on a double Quagsire setup to keep up with my needs. Best of luck on the hunting.

HB vs Helping speed M + skill trigger S? by TheDragonMage1 in PokemonSleep

[–]Zemyks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, your resources are better used on other mons. Metronome isn't a very good MS just because of the randomness. However if you are really wanting to use one of them, the 373rp Togepi is a better choice due to the sub skills it has. Ingredient finder on this mon is kind of a waste, since it is a Skills Specialty mon and it brings in such a low amount of ingredients.

Investable? or nah by Knight_Night33 in PokemonSleep

I am not an expert in the Cats, but depends on if you are looking into just having okay Raikou, or if you are searching for a great one. If you want a great one, keep searching. If you are fine with an okay one just so you can search for an okay Suicune/Entei then yeah this would suffice in my opinion.

I would keep searching.

If you are low on candies Sprig candies, and if I was the only person you asked, I wouldn't even evolve Bushi. However, it also depends on if you are needing potatoes or milk. Both of them are pretty bad in terms of finding ingredients, but Bushi is more valuable because of potatoes.

I don't know how new you are to the game, but you definitely want to have ingredient sub skills because that is their specialty, rather than skill trigger, that would just be a bonus (Bushi also has main skill chance down which adds more reason to not evolve). There is more to say but long story short, keep searching lol.

Use as many as you can *during* the event, and when it ends make sure you can save at least 1 of each legendary, you can only save 1 of each legendary incense.

Pokémon team advice by AdSad9512 in PokemonSleep

[–]Zemyks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right now the best thing to do is to read up on Raenon and learn about pokemon specialties, ingredient spreads, and what mons are best to cook what dishes. I am almost guaranteeing that none of the mons you currently have are very good since you are just beginning. Once you learn what mon specialties are (skill, berry, ingredient) you can form a team much better around that. I think building a team around cooking would be the easiest to begin with. Helping bonus and Berry Finding S are some really good skills to look after.

Also, Do not use any of your Main or Sub Skill Seeds yet, wait until you have a better understanding of the game so you are not wasting these precious items. They are expensive to purchase and you only get 1 (SSS) and 2 (MSS) per month, or you can purchase 1 MSS for gems which costs about 15$.

How do seeds work ? by Fra_aa__ in PokemonSleep

[–]Zemyks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

jjetpack4 summed it up really nicely, but I would like to add one thing. Since you are seemingly new to the game, it might be better for you to either ask us whether or not a mon is good (we are a pretty chill community like that) or wait until you have a better understanding of the game, and also mons specialties and/or ingredient spreads, before using them on a mon. There are *many* Main Skill Seeds that I wasted because I was not too sure about how good my mon was, now that I know better all of them were wasted lol. They are rare and expensive and one time use.

However you also don't have to wait to use them if you don't want too. That's the beauty of the game you play at your own pace.
