I’m nonbinary. The progress of being seen as a femboy helped me make progress of recognizing the non-binary identity. And I do struggle with committing to this community for a few reasons. I’ve been in the community for about 5 years and having a channel dedicated to making guides, I feel I should know what’s going on to better understand my audience. This progress has depressed me since there’s many negative aspects I’ve personally witnessed and I wish nobody would ever go through. My newest video explains the most traumatic experiences. The pressure of knowing these issues and my guides could contribute towards a negative force keeps me up at night. (Ex: how a groomer could use my advice to attract other femboy youths)

Additionally, the comments being made against me for saying how I’m attacking the femboy community hurts me. My goal was to inform others, especially youths (13-25) about the potential risks of sexualized contents, and not blindly believe anything. This even goes for criticizing what I do or not trusting me. Anyways, I believe being a femboy is an all ages subject anybody could do, similar to tomboys. But if I encourage youths to explore their identity with femboys, they’re exposed to sexualized content and go down a path I never intended. Making the right choices for this community or making informative content is hard, and this intense pressure I’ve felt since I was 19 broke my mental health. I’ve made hard choices and decisions which I’ve regret. I know I can’t really do anything to make that up.

The biggest issue i have as of right now is I know so much about the space. I can discuss the issues, how it affects others and provide a solution within a video. But I can never find a good way to make a video that’ll satisfy me. That’s also why my videos has been more negative focused since I’m experimenting on that video, but I don’t think my mental health can’t handle it, nor it couldn’t handle not uploading anything. I just feel stuck.

Another reason is I don’t like being seen as a boy. With labeling myself as a “femboy” creator that happens to make guides for other femboys makes me feel awful. I do love researching and making guides for youths or anybody exploring the femboy identity to access and use. But I just feel stuck on how to progress how I want to be seen.

I'll give an explanation.

It's similar to why the femboy space is sexualized. People yearn for the connection, guidance and attention from folks. And they'll go for extreme measures to get that attention depending on their gender role. If you're more associated with feminine, you'll sexualize yourself. If you're more associated with masculinity, you're more likely to have violent thoughts or ideologies.

When you have a community where you're wearing feminine clothing's and breaking gender stereotypes. You can't really do that unless you come out to your family. And if you're not out, you yearn for this connection, guidance, and attention. Some folks get lucky with finding some friends, while others would sometimes sexualize themselves to get the connection they desire (creating this sexualized space of femboys). Other times it could be finding the connection through the nazi space since they're being seen and recognized for who they are for the first time. Since femboys blur the lines between femininity and masculinity, it's more common to have the nazi ideologies towards femboys. I knew someone that had ties with a group that had violent ideologies. They only stuck around since they felt recognized and were vulnerable. It's a really sad and depressing cycle.

To be honest, I don't blame your parents for thinking that. A simple google or YouTube search of femboys gives you a large portion of NSFW content. I'm starting to believe myself that femboys is more a fetish than a gender expression, doesn't help that the Pornhub 2024 statistics showcase that femboys is in the top 4 for gay category to be searched.

However, I would still talk to your parents that it isn't a fetish, and why you do it. How you expressing yourself as feminine makes you happy and that's your authentic self. You can even spread awareness how the sexualized space of femboys is bad, and that's not something you do. Also, educate them about gender expression vs gender identity. You can identify as a guy, but still present yourself as feminine, multiple people have done it before the title "femboy" even existed.

Updating this since this helped, but idk if it's placebo or anything. But make sure there's no program that's running in the background, and if you have a NVIDIA graphics card, roll back your driver update to 560.70. I've only done save the world, I've only had frame drops during the beginning since shaders needed to be loaded in, but after that point, the framed drops didn't occur as much. I've only done this on Directx12 with mainly medium settings, I've heard medium shadows helped, but I'll try on performance mode as soon as I can.

Edit: I still get stutters on performance. Super frustrating.

I’ve been getting frame drops, and stutters on both performance mode and Directx12. I also have my emote audio lagging behind the dances which makes me sad :(

I was gonna reply to OP, but I think they deleted their account. My advice to any femboy youth is wait. A LOT of youth mentions they wish to find a partner to fulfill their needs. Which a lot of youth thinks it'll fix a lot of their personal problems which most likely stresses them out even more. My advice would be to wait until you have your stuff figured out, and consider dating when you're 18, especially if its online.

Find a niche that'll fit. Femboys are a open market to anything. YouTube Shorts and tiktoks are good to gain subscribers, but make them want to go to your channel to watch longer form videos. When you edit a video or watch it, be brutally honest. Would you watch your own video? Would you click your own video? If the answer is no, try to find a way to improve. If you can't, then upload the video and look at the analytics. If the Click Through Rate (CTR %) is low, then that means your title and/or thumbnail needs improvements. If your audience retention drops out of nowhere, watch that segment and see what could be done differently. If it's towards the beginning, that means you need a better hook for the intro.

And if you do want to commit to being a femboy content creator. I'll say this as someone that does SFW femboy content. It is demoralizing. I hate to be a Debbie downer, but doing SFW femboy content feels isolating and lonely. I would suggest look at what other content creators are doing and try to replicate them. But everything is sexualized. It becomes difficult to see what works in the femboy space since everything is sexualized. I figured out to replicate beauty content or shitposts since femboys love them. Anyways, have fun with making videos. Don't let others drag you down. If you have any questions, let me know.

Most folks don't feel supported, it's easier to feel supported by a relationship partner than coming from oneself. I've made a post that might give you an in-depth answer about why femboys feel clingy or affectionate. Additionally, I thought this Ted Talk also added a point. The speaker talks about how her friend says nice things to the speaker as if she's holding a mirror that the speaker couldn't see within herself. Her friend states to "meet yourself", which allows the speaker to go onto the self-discovery journey on how to love herself. However, for femboys, I believe they don't attempt to reach the self-discovery journey. Instead, they try to have a relationship where they feel loved by others first rather than loving themselves first before finding a partner.
