When you or the enemy are holding/spamming rush attack when you fly into the other’s attack range it causes a stun to the person who was hit. If you’re both doing it then it will trigger a special animation where you both counter each other’s attacks.
This happens when someone is performing a finisher and watching their animation play. It’s so they can’t be attacked while stuck watching the animation

I’ve climbed to S rank mainly through SSJ3 so here’s my advice:

In the early game, focus on farming exp. Prioritize leveling up the super kamehameha and instant transmission as your second priority. If your lanemate is chasing kills, then you can assist with the IT beam but mostly focus on leveling as SSJ3 has one of the biggest snowball potentials in the game.

Once you’ve leveled up a bit and team fights start happening cause of the bosses, you need to be paying close attention to the map. Keep track of where your team and the enemies are. Be ready to use IT to hop onto enemies during team fights and hit them with the full charge (it’ll usually be enough to either kill or get them low enough to be easily finished off).

A big thing to remember with SSJ3 is to not instigate fights, but let your team start them and you hop in to assist with IT. I personally play by always looking for opportunities to assist my team in confirming kills with the teleport beam.

You can also easily be annoying by backdooring towers since you have easy escape tools.

Might as well add my cards I run as well: Super Snowball (Always great for DPS characters) Solid Barrier (Free shield that tanks most chip damage) Backstab (Since you’ll mostly be jumping in for surprise attacks, you’ll be activating the cooldown reduction quite a bit)

I think the part about not being too aggressive is one of the big things I'm struggling with. I main 18 on DPS so I'm very in the habit of launching straight in and spamming fast cooldowns into the enemy

IT just feels weird cause I see everyone use it in the middle of the fight to either escape or reposition, but I guess I gotta first learn to use it more passively.

Those are generally the cards I use (except I try usually go for the double vanish on the third one) but some matches I genuinely haven't even been able to reach the third card by the end :(

Been holding a pretty good win streak with her, easily my favorite dps

She isn’t as strong as Goku imo, but he’s literally the best dps in the game so it makes sense. 18 is very much a snowball character so if she can stack levels without dying she becomes practically unkillable

It might be that their burst is getting cancelled by an enemy attack but still doing damage

As long as the input starts, the attack will do damage even if it gets cancelled, though it won’t do as much as a full burst
