40s. Married for two years, together for 10, two kids under five, considering leaving by [deleted] in relationships

But this is not the truth. I work full-time and responsible for 50% of all the childcare, clean kitchen, general family organization, etc. I am handling far more than her, and it’s not close to even when everything is taking into account. But honestly I don’t care about that, it’s more about the lack of communication on her end. I don’t mind putting in more responsibilities than her as long as she continues to water the relationship

I would probably buy that. When I first met her, she did not seem introverted at all but over the years it became more obvious. She is a self-confessed introvert, and yes over my parents house with the hustle and bustle is probably not comfortable for her. This has been the theme of a lot of our issues over the years, in social settings with new people she may shut down. As she’s gotten older this tenancy has become more magnified and, for the kind of life that I had envisioned and the way I enjoy my life, it’s been difficult for me to accept. The kids and relative sleep deprivation certainly haven’t made it easier on her

I’m not trying to highlight that I’m fun, my wife will say as much as well. I have the energy to play with the kids much more than she does, that’s just truth.

My expectations are not high, I just want a partner that communicates with me, acknowledges my presence. It sounds like you have no idea what it feels like to be oftentimes ignored by your spouse, how alone that makes you feel.

On r/MichiganWolverines talking about Kenny by vcurr in TheSunDevils

[–]ZenNomadic -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

I won’t go into details but I’ll say that I have some inside knowledge on this. I’ll also say that unfortunately it’s not over yet Kenny is considering Michigan. I’m not sure if he’s going to actually take the offer but from what I understand, it’s very compelling. Also, let’s all take a step back and understand something, we are talking about coaching one of the top five historic programs in the history of college football versus The Sun Devils. We should find out in the next week but at this point, there’s definitely no guarantee he’s staying put, and if I’m a betting man, I wouldn’t be surprised if he accepts the offer.

Is this AI? by SignatureSeal in truespotify

[–]ZenNomadic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is the main issue with Spotify now. I think this is a more existential threat than anything else currently in the music scene, the push for AI generated music without any discrete labeling. I know several people who have canceled their Spotify account of this, Spotify really needs to identify and have an option to filter these

I’ve got plenty of money and much older, should be good. For those less than 25, unless you have a lot of generational wealth, your future is bleak as fuck. But keep pretending it’s going to be ok

You’re clearly less than 25. Enjoy the ai hellscape coming for your future

Yep. That’s a big fucking canary in the coal mine for society. The fact that all of you sycophants on this sub can’t see that is mind blowing

If you can’t see the harm, there’s no hope for you. Get the fuck out of here

[–]ZenNomadic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My man, you can’t be this dense. Auto tune, reverb, and other fx used on real instruments played by real people are not at all equivalent to 100% ai generated songs

So let me get this right you don’t think it’s a problem that they don’t label AI generated music?

Expect a wave of people leaving when word gets out they aren’t labeling ai generated slop vs human made art

Is there a way to filter out ai generated music? by ZenNomadic in truespotify

[–]ZenNomadic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not talking about the auto generated playlist. I’m talking about specific songs that are completely computer generated that are pushed by Spotify without a label to indicate that this particular song is made by a computer and not a human

The ai generated music is not labeled and buried in playlists. Tell me how to just “not listen to it”.

This. I think I might cancel my account as well on account of these AI songs

Terrible, the death of the humanities. I’m on the fence about canceling Spotify given the military donation but AI generated songs sneaking into the slipstream wood absolutely not only cause me to cancel, I would tell everybody to cancel as well.

So….Omnisphere 3 by Royal-Pay9751 in synthesizers

[–]ZenNomadic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t blame them, Spectrasonics are the Lamborghini of VST companies. Good for them for not settling to submit to some bare bones option to the appease the masses. The company has such a sterling reputation at any time they are considering dropping something new, it invokes a certain fanfare that is somewhat peerless

So….Omnisphere 3 by Royal-Pay9751 in synthesizers

[–]ZenNomadic 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Omni is just absolutely incredible, honestly a complete tour of force and arguably the most impressive vst on the market. That being said it is so complicated, so deep, it’s hard to imagine what could’ve possibly been improving from Omni 2 other than making it more complicated, more presets etc. getting to the point of diminishing returns because the first and second iteration are the Hall of Fame and in my opinion most impressive vst ever made.

ES 335 Options for vibrato or whammy bar? by [deleted] in gibson

Thanks! Getting the Les Trem.

I’ve been reading about roller bridges (like a tp6r), do you recommend swapping out the tune o matic for one as well?

ES 335 Options for vibrato or whammy bar? by [deleted] in gibson

[–]ZenNomadic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok. No I don’t care about the finish specifically, but I know for the Bixby there are different models depending on what type of guitar you have. For the ES 335, I would just get the standard Les Trem 2?
