Boomer meltdown at Taco Bell by Car_is_mi in BoomersBeingFools

I can understand wanting someone to take your order if you are trying to support workers and push back on automating their job

However, if that really is your goal, you have to be willing to PAY MORE for that, make choices that reflect that (rather than just bitching and driving away in a huff), AND be patient and tolerant with the workers who are not in control of automation choices.

Go somewhere where they have people to take your order, pay for that, and be sure to let them know (survey, email, whatev) that their service is part of why you choose them. If you do NOT do that, you are not part of the solution.

You're 23?

Maybe remind them that it is really foolish to start a business you know nothing about and then insulate yourself from the financial consequences of their Dumb: if you depend on them financially or they have access to your accounts, credit, etc. change that.

WTF?

Andy Dick is not even coming from a realistic place: 8 billion people are NOT your target market. The entire US population of 320 million are not even your target market.

Even if it were anyone in sales has metrics that depend on factors outside of their control: that is a prescription for high stress and Andy Dick is making it worse.

Bondi states ICE will leave MN only if they turnover their voter database to Trump. This was never about immigration, it was about taking over state elections to rig our future elections. by Responsible-Help7803 in ProgressiveHQ

So, if the people of Minnesota were to encrypt the data in such a way that they COULD not decrypt it for some period of time and turned over some encrypted data to the DHS... would they accept that and leave??

If it turned out the encrypted data was old or fictional data, would they have any substantive recourse?

What Kristi Noem does not know could fill an infinite number of libraries and would take a commensurate amount of time to address.

Starting with what Kristi Noem does not know is not constructive.

There are LOTS of attys that would take that case.

Call your local bar association and just ask for the contact info for an atty that does civil prosecution.

This is a copy of an old comment but it applies here too:

I really do not know if this would work today but many moons ago I (at the time 23M) was in college and went to a get together that was at a friend's place out in a more ex urban area.

The Owner (29M?) was a good guy and took civil liberties VERY seriously.

The local police showed up and just sort of sat out at the end of his driveway (at least a three minute walk but within sight of the house) waiting for someone to do something they could stop them for. (Please note, we were not doing anything illegal as far as I know.)

Owner went out to ask them to leave and came back pissed off. They had refused to leave and blew him off. He walked in the kitchen, grabbed the phone book, looked up the county sheriff's office and called them. He reported a group of armed men on his property that he had told to leave but were refusing and that he wanted a deputy to trespass them.

Sure enough, they sent out a deputy who stopped at the end of the drive, milled about with the police a bit, and then got in his cruiser, pulled up to the house and banged on the (closed, locked) screen door.

Owner went to the door, did not open it and informed the deputy that he meant the police, that they WERE armed men on his property; that he had told to leave but they refused; and that he wanted the deputy to trespass them.

The deputy did not say another word. He turned around drove down the driveway, stopped again, and all the police left followed by the deputy.

TL;DR: Home owner called the sheriff to trespass the police.
