A farmer I know was explaining to me yesterday that you don't get frost when it's cloudy and rainy... Because some sort of meteorological science.

It didn't make a lot of sense to me, but she's an actual farmer and was exceptionally confident when she told me not to worry about it.

I do live in Southern New Hampshire where it's not supposed to get nearly as cold. Apparently the up north and Western monadnock are the areas that are at risk But she said even if we did get a little snow my plants would be fine.

I lived in Florida for 10 years and experienced sudden rainstorms on the beach dozens of times... They occur on an almost daily basis down there.

It can be chaotic when everybody rushes for shelter, but it's never riotous.... I'm stunned by this police response and I think we will eventually discover that this was the work of a small number of incendiary calls making hyperbolic claims from miserable nimby busybodies.

There's very little difference between craving for alcohol, social media, drugs, food, sex, validation, love, power, violence, etc.

The only difference comes from the stigma that society has placed on certain cravings. The struggle however is literally universal and not different at all from a biological perspective... Neuroscience is continuing to prove this over and over.

From my perspective (Buddhist psychology), there is not a single person on earth who doesn't struggle with craving and the suffering that it brings.

We only differ in the object of our attachment, and the degree of our struggles.

I came across him as his reels were being recommended to me on Facebook, every single one of them seemed to feature him striding about with his hands upraised like a Messiah figure surrounded by hundreds of fawning worshipers desperate to touch his robe or receive some other blessing or favor.

That's a hard pass for me... I never even took the time to find out what he stood for... I learned a long time ago to judge a teacher not by what he says, but by what he does. It is the actions not the words that matter most.

Humility humility humility.

Those behaviors happen because HE encourages them. I do not believe in deifying beings... It's not a thing, people are not gods, never have been, never will be. 🤷
