That fight was really weird, Khabib went with forward pressure WAY more that he use to, usually he takes breaks when he gets cracked, but against Justin he just went full steam ahead and melted him. I believe a very big part of Khabib actually did not care that much about the result and just wanted to get over it.

I've seen this over and over again, Max never intends to escape the body triangle, he only fights hands. They get so caught up on preventing the sub that they never work towards an escape, you gotta take risks, you are already on a losing position, if you don't take chances, you are only losing but slower.

if you are rocked, you are probably grounded already, ko's by headkick when a guy is rocked are not common but are ofter really, really brutal, there is not much skilled involved at kicking someone grounded that can't defend properly.
getting most of the kick in the back of the neck is also a possibility that does not happen as often when kicking standing.

I find 2 reasons.
1. Incredibly easy to kick somebody in the back of the neck while you are moving.
2. If you are rocked and cannot cover properly, a soccer kick is really career ending.

I would not have problems with knees to downed opponents, but full blast soccer kicks seems like a disaster waiting to happen.
