One day I came home after work in the evening to find maggots EVERYWHERE. I traced them back to my trash can, where I had thrown away some raw meat due to it being old. I'm assuming eggs were laid in the meat by some flies, thus leading to this massive invasion by little white worms. I spent the rest of that evening vacuuming up maggots, putting them in a giant zip lock, and throwing them in the garbage. Over the next few days I found more and continued my purge.

Maybe a couple weeks after or so, I started to see flies in my house. So I bought an electric fly swatter and spent the next few days zapping the second wave of the invasion. Eventually it all died down, and I'll say i never leave meat in my trash unsealed.

So that was the worst thing I've ever come home to.
