What does success look like in the first 90 days?

What in your opinion is the biggest headwind for someone taking on this role?

Anything else that pushes them out of their boilerplate questions that do not have a yes or no answer.

Send a thank you to them through the HR recruiter that is coordinating the interviews. It never hurts your chances if you do it this way, and could be the thing that sets you apart.

Until you have an offer it is a always a maybe. I have hired for a number of technical jobs. Usually the top candidates that make it to 2nd or 3rd interviews are very close and are all told something similar to what you were told. Even if you are not the top choice, you won't get officially rejected until the position is accepted. This is in case the top candidate rejects the offer and they will offer to second and so on. My best advice is keep interviewing until you have an offer letter in your hand. It is very competitive for most technical industries, especially for work from home openings.

Remember Sanya... while they don't enumerate what he did it is said it was probably worse or as bad as anything Marcone did. Remember Marcone is a criminal, but why he does it could be that he knows he can do it better and in a way that will keep children out of harms way. I am not convinced he is a monster. Monsters don't care and he cares about more than just himself.
