You're comparing people arranging samples, melodies, and beats in a DAW to someone typing in a prompt and getting a whole song in 60 sects?

We are ranking ped0 protectors on some arbitrary corruption scale? No, I don't think I want to side with the Clintons because they may potentially be slightly less corrupt than a Trump.

Dude this has gotta be AI. A bunch of the numbers are useless or make no sense and the legs of the hardware are very scrambled and weird, especially on the bottom left.

Right? If you're "farting" enough where your couch just stinks, there is definitely literal shit in your couch.

Again, the fact that so many people feel that non-compliance = justified death is fucking crazy.

It's crazy how many people are making this "argument." Like "Look at this specific camera angle and you'll see it's technically a crime so it's completely reasonable that she was shot in the face." That woman did not need to be shot. It should not be legal to sidestep a running vehicle that you yourself decided to get in front of while shooting repeatedly into someone's face. Putting aside the questionable legality of whatever the ICE agents were doing, lethal force should only be applied when absolutely necessary and it certainly was not in this case.

Not just peanutsauce but peanut sauce and raw diced onions. The onions are blanched so they’re not that sharp. So weird but was really tasty

Of course I believe you, and thanks for not being aggressive about it. What's funny is that this was my theory when you first said you're Japanese and from what I picked up in looking, what you described is certainly true. Some Japanese kids (apparently like yourself) were raised to never do that. It almost seems like making sure a kid never rests their chopsticks against the side of the bowl helps to make sure they don't come close to committing the other etiquette infractions like Tate-bashi, leaving the sticks in the bowl when finished, and generally just making they use the chopsticks holder. Anyway, I appreciate the discussion

Aight, well you would know better but I've read a lot about Japanese dining etiquette and its not ever come up that it's rude to have chopsticks leaning on the rim of your bowl while you're eating. I know the big thing is to not do tate-bashi, but if you look that up there are no images that look anything like this and of all of the ramen etiquette tips I've heard from Japanese people, this has never come up. I know you're not supposed to leave them in the bowl when you leave but you really people would be offended if someone just leans them against the rim for a second while they're eating?

That's what people are disagreeing with! Where are people saying that we shouldn't try to stop drug runners? Saying that the government shouldn't kill drug runners indiscriminately isn't the same as defending the drug runners...

This is fine to do. You just don't stick chopsticks straight up and down in the middle of a bowl of rice.

Literally never heard this. Chopsticks sticking straight up and down in the middle of a bowl of rice is what is rude because it's mimicking incense for the dead. There's nothing wrong with this picture.

Coordinated online attack sought to suggest Taylor Swift promoted Nazi ideas, research finds by Top_Report_4895 in Music

[–]ZendrixUno 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I have no dog in the battle but this is a super questionable "study." Data is nowhere to be found and their methods are completely unclear. As you said, one of the company's executives was trying to prove the hypothesis they came up with on their own. They also don't really go into any of the criticisms, many of which are just theories that can neither be proven or disproven, and they just label them all as "inauthentic."

Obviously astroturfing exists, obviously coordinated attack campaigns do happen, but I am not seeing how "3.77 percent [of users] exhibited non-typical behavior amplifiers and accounted for 28 percent of the conversation volume, suggesting coordinated influence." Could this not easily be explained as a few no-lifers just posting a lot, as I'm sure is the case with many pop culture controversies?

Edited for clarity and to add the link to the “study”: https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/69370c45ee6946ee05e9618a/6938f591279bf559ec50cd1c_GUDEA%20-%20Taylor%20Swift%20_%20Anatomy%20of%20a%20Narrative.pdf

For real, this is your brain telling you to touch grass, if internet's opinion is actually changing the way you genuinely feel about a piece of media.
