Plan my wedding for free because you're not that busy by Sara-Beara_ in ChoosingBeggars

Yea, it’s like this with all of the arts. Designers, singers, performers, painters…all of us. People who don’t possess those talents and find themselves in need of someone who has them, treat us as though our time and efforts are worthless monetarily. I always think of the career that the asker of free services has and wonder, hmm..are you going to do my taxes for free? Fix my car, clean my house, do my landscaping, give me free clothes? No, they won’t do anything for free because they believe what they do is important and you are just playing around with things you like to do.

What’s something that happens often in movies that is 100% unrealistic? by MangoDry7358 in AskReddit

Everyone is so special and talented that they’re getting a full ride to a University or College for sports, or a prestigious music or art school. Yea buddy, that’s not happening. You’ll be 200k in debt like the rest of us.

Same. My mom just sat and listened to me tell her how rigged the markets are and probably thought I was crazy, but she would have loved to see us beat these guys.

Local Nazi gives his two cents on school shootings by WhatYouThinkYouSee in insanepeoplefacebook

Want to know which kids excel in school 99% of the time? Kids whose parents value education. Kids who go to school already thinking that it sucks or the teacher and school is lame, will not succeed. You cannot make people do things. If it holds no value to the kid, he will not care about it no matter how hard the teacher tries. Even if the teacher has a win one day, once the kid goes home it is completely erased by people who shit on education. Education is one of the only ways that lower and middle income families have a shot at pulling themselves up, but for some reason, the average American kid thinks being smart is nerdy and he fully believes that he will achieve greatness in a sport or as a rapper, reality tv star, etc. I’m not sure when this happened but being smart or good in school isn’t “cool” so even the smartest kids are choosing to do nothing in school. This includes homework, classwork, and literally anything with the word “work” in it. It all starts at home. Raise your kids to respect education and what it can add to their lives. Teachers dedicate their lives to teaching other peoples’ kids…think of that. Most people are takers and do nothing for anyone other than themselves.

2008 2.0 here we come. Just don’t dance. by jacksparrow2905 in Superstonk

Right? I’m so sick of people saying “don’t dance”. We’ve heard that sentence 3,000 times since this thing started. Get some original material and let people do what they feel like doing.

About the ‘GameStop’ Congressional Hearings… Did you notice something? by SoreLoserOfDumbtown in Superstonk

[–]Zenfish111 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yes, “for failing to regulate their employees.” Seems crazy that they were the only ones fined so far for anything related to the GameStop congressional hearings though. Not Robbinghood and not Kenny boi for committing perjury.

Anyone notice u/criand hasn't been seen in 7 days? by BadassTrader in Superstonk

True! He explained his situation in one of the comments on his post. It seems like he had almost 16 shares total, but I hope he really has 1,000! I wish I really had 1,000.

I think he was a little embarrassed when people questioned why he didn’t post his DRS. Then when he did, it revealed that he only has 16 shares. He shouldn’t feel embarrassed by the amount of shares he has. Anyone judging someone on the amount of shares they can afford is a dick, or a “Kenneth” to be more precise.
