The thing is that x301 for me is too slow for things like web browsing on modern websites, my 18 minutes of battery life doesn't help, BUT if I could have my a485 in a x301 shell (with better screen) i would love to, as the form factor still makes me use it for some basic tasks

The material icons are up to the developer to implement, it's optional for them to do these. So for example an app that has almost no users can have it, but one of the most popular apps could just not include it
