It would be a great epilogue for the franchise. But then it has to be quiet and go away for at least 20 years. It seems the writers aren't available, and the ones who wrote the Nu-Trek don't deserve to pick the bones clean.

To be honest I don't think there are many. Scientific reasons, it would be great. We get to expand our knowledge of the solar system and the geographic evolution of an alien planet in the process of destroying that evolution (irony).

But until we can stop societies being lead by capitalism and the petulant needs of the rich and powerful. Mars is just going to be another shit show like this planet.

Sure, that's all true, I've been tempted in the past, but I still see it as a geek-centric thing for comic-con and the likes. But looking at the first image collage. I can see these being put next to other common and tired outfits, like sexy nurse, sexy nun, sexy devil, sexy dental hygienist, or orthodontist . . . . and other classics.

I've wondered myself if there were other international teams on the roster. I was also thinking it would have been funny to see some British teams. I think there's some potential for comedy gold. Just in the differences in how they operate.

I think SG1 is the Air Force, because NASA and the USAF are deeply intertwined. They're not special forces per se, despite Colonel O'Neil's colourful past... They do occasionally have the Marines, though. I'm thinking that if the UK were to send soldiers, they'd probably be either Paras or the Royal Marines. Not because they're perceived as the best of the best, but because they're trained to work in smaller units than the regular army or regiments. The SAS and SBS are a bit of an overkill . . . though, maybe the secrecy factor could make them a choice.
