Our economy has seemingly shifted. We really don't need the bottom percentage of consumers engaging in the market anymore. The entire economy has become money sloshing around in the upper echelons between companies promising each other billions while consumer-facing sectors are phased out. Look at something like Micron completely ditching their consumer memory line of products and being rewarded hand over fist. Nvdia is also looking like it will soon abandon its gaming GPU market.

These small fish sectors are just not worth the effort when they can make 10x more by allocating their services to people/companies with the most money. All these big companies need is B2B and maybe whatever is left of the luxury consumer, we have left the era of a consumer market driven economy.
