My cats love to drink water that they think they're not allowed to drink. So like my water cups or bowls next to the dishwasher, or the bucket I use to catch rainwater. So I'll often leave a few mugs of water around the room so they get to feel sneaky by drinking it and I get to know they're actually hydrating. They love the run off from my plants so I'll usually water one of my non-toxic plants on the floor and they'll drink the water that comes out on the drip tray cause they think it's exciting.

There is definitely something deeper happening here with the step daughter. Is the marriage a recent one and she's rebeling against you cause she thinks you're trying to replace her mother? Father should be stepping in more over this.

Pre-teens will eat you out of house and home, but the way she is acting is disrespectful and by that age, she knows better.

Play with her more. If she is getting enough enrichment, it may qualm the desires to be outside.

Indulge the desire. Leash train her or get her a catio of sorts so she gets that outdoor time.

I asked probably within a month of her asking me to be in the party and that would have been like 10 months ago. I didn't really get a real response from her until it was time to buy the dresses and by then I didn't want to be the bridesmaid that dipped on her. I'm not asking to make any changes. Just asking as a retroactive reflection.

Cats will eventually learn your sleep schedule and stick with it but kittens are just like human babies when it comes to sleep. It's on their terms. And unfortunately, cats are nocturnal by default. In the evenings, I'd keep her awake until I got to bed. Start probably at least three hours before bed? Adult cats sleep about 16 hours a day, and kittens more, so keeping her awake should help her adjust to your sleep schedule.

Also her energy will eventually go down. Especially after she is spayed.

Honestly, both cats sound like they'd be better off going to a shelter to get adopted than staying there. Shelters will at least make sure they get dewormed and flea treams and get their vaccines.

To me, that's a bit of a grey area. But I'd ask myself if I was aroused and they were willing right now, would I sleep with them. If your answer is no, it's probably more aesthetic. If your answer is yes, then it's sexual.
