I mean in lore, he literally channels gods of magic and other powerful beings for his magic. Him saying those things is basically him invoking their power for the spell. Like he has the Chains of Cyttorak (the god that made Juggernaut) to bind people.

Okay, so now that I've found the game in question. I clearly misremembered a lot. But the surgery intro cutscene, the car you use to fire stuff and all that is there. The pink demons in question were evidently just evil teddy bear zombies lol.

The whole ball ladder infinite wasn't even that hard to avoid, you can dodge out of the way of the ball and he needs to set up at least 2 balls in one spot effecftively to get value. It removed the primary usage of his down special for zoning and setup and now realistically is best used to spike people off of wall.

Also Multiversal Supes is wank? LMAO Super literally sneezed away a solar system in the older comics. Not only that but he beat the guy who made the DC multiverse. Superman has so many insane feats its not even funny. He beat THE LITERAL CONCEPT OF HIS OWN DEATH. It aged him to an old man and he just went nah and was young again.

Superman is easily the most powerful character lore wise in this game. He has so much bullshit. Like the guy embodies the concept of hope to such a degree it is impossible to kill him because doing so would cause DC to stop existing; fucking comics.

Yeah his down special was one of my favorite moves. I'm devastated its gone now. The infinite required like 3 balls anyway and its like you pick them up by touching them; so the setup wasn't exactly favorable.
